Khalil POV

"Dinner is ready!" Avaa called from the kitchen and Jason was the first to sprint for it. I shook my head and Julia laughed, "he's so damn black"

"I know, I can't stand his ass" I said.

"I HEARD THAT!" Jay yelled from the dining room.

"DOESN'T CHANGE WHAT I SAID!" I yelled back. As we made our way to join them, my phone buzzed in my hand with a notification from the camera in the nursery. It read 'noise detected', so I checked the camera and saw movement in Jr.'s crib, letting me know that it was him crying. "I'll be in in a minute, Bear is awake." I told Julia and she nodded her head. I turned back around to go upstairs to the nursery and Jr was in his crib screaming his head off.

"What's wrong Bear man?" I asked softly, picking him up out his crib. I couldn't see anything overtly wrong- his diaper was clean and he shouldn't be hungry because he ate just before he went down. Plus, when they're hungry, all of them will start sticking their tongues out and reaching for a boob. Which he was not doing, but to rule it out, I stuck my knuckle in his mouth to see if he would try to latch, but he turned his head away from it.

Okay...not hungry.

*Ring Ring*

He screamed louder as my phone rang. I looked down at the number and it was the people from the venue for our wedding. Damn it.

"Hello?" I said into the phone, while trying to rock him back and forth to calm him down, "I'm sorry, can you give me a second, my son is being a little fussy"

"Sure" the lady on the other end said and I put myself on mute and went downstairs, "AVAA!" I called, walking into the dining room.

"What'd you do to my kid?" She still had Ky sitting with her as she ate.

"Not now, the wedding venue lady is on the line" I said quickly and handed him over then ran back to my office, "Hi, I'm back and sorry again for all of that" I spoke to the lady in the phone again, half out of breath.

"Oh it's ok, I know the feeling- I have a toddler at home, myself" she said with a laugh.

"Yeah, I'm not even there yet, he's still a newborn"

"I remember that stage!"

"Yeahh, it's a wild ride...but uh did you need something? Was there something wrong with my payment?"

"Uh no, you're payment came through just fine, the problem is with the date. It appears that we double booked for the 14th of July and your event was scheduled last, would you be willing to consider a different date?"

When she said that, my eyes nearly popped out my head. A different date? For my wedding?! I closed my eyes and blew out a deep breath to calm myself down, "uh ma'am, that's something I'd have to talk to my fiancé about considering that is supposed to be the date for our wedding, can I get back to you on if we're willing to simply change the date or change venues altogether?"

"Well we have another section of the property where we can hold the wedding!"

"Again, this is a conversation I need to have with my fiancé, she picked your venue because of that specific area we booked, and I'm not positive she'll want to even keep this venue if we can't have our wedding there. But, we'll be sure to give you a call back. Thank you for letting me know and have a nice day."

"You're welcome and you as well" she said and I just as quickly up the phone. I ran my hand down my face and made my way back to the dining room. I walked in and all eyes shifted to me as I grabbed a plate to put my food on.
