(Jake Pitts + Jinxx)
---•"You're free to go." My art teacher, Mr. Way, let me go.
"Is there anything left?" I asked the fiery redhead.
"You made up your absent work and your negative space project... You're free to go! Off with you!" Mr. Way waved me off and I slumped towards the door. "Wait!" I turned back around. "Do you not wanna go home?" I shook my head. "Why not?"
"I have no life. There's nothing to do at home." I told him.
Mr. Way picked up his phone and typed in a number for a room. He began talking and I stood there in confusion. Mr. Way turned back to me and said, "Go up to the third floor. You can help Mr. Ferguson with papers."
"Thank you, Mr. Way!" I smiled and trekked towards my destination. I slowly stepped up the stairs. Being the sophomore I was, I'd never been to the third level of the school. I'd only been to the first and second floors of this building and all of the floors in the second building. The third floor in this building was mainly reserved for honours/AP juniors and regular ol' seniors. I was an AP student myself, but I stuck with the regular juniors.
I stood at the top of the stairs an looked around. It seemed like a normal school. Educational and motivational posters, the stench of chlorine-like cleanser, and the weird, bright fluorescent lights shining onto the bleach white tiles of the floor.
I looked at the name plates beside the doors.
Mr. Armstrong.
Mr. M. Way.
Mr. Hoppus.
Mr. Iero.
Mrs. McDougall.
Mr. Toro.
Ms. Williams.
Mr. Ferguson.
I swallowed, trying to calm myself from the unusual wave of nervousness that washed over me. I shakily opened the door and called out, "M-Mr. Ferg-Ferguson?"
A man with straight, black hair that laid a little past his shoulders turned around and my breath got caught in my throat. I shook my head and placed my palm on my forehead. I heard a distant noise, but couldn't hear anything. I took a deep breath in... And opened my eyes.
Beep, beep.
Beep, beep.
Beep, beep.
Beep, beep.
I looked down at my bracelet-covered wrist and saw my blue clock with orange numbers and letters.
0 seconds
"Well, then. I'm Jeremy, but you can call me Jinxx." Jinxx winked at me. I felt my face heat up and I sat on a desk in the front of the room.
"Why Jinxx?" I asked him.
"Because... Most of the time I jinx myself. Therefore, I call myself Jinxx. But with two x's." Jinxx smirked at me and stood in front of me. (I honestly don't know why he's actually called Jinxx, so hush my children.)
"Cool name. I'm Jake." I smiled at Jinxx.
"Hello, Jake. I'm Jinxx. You are my clockmate." He chuckled.
I giggled and stared at him for a second. I leaned in quickly and kissed him on the lips. I pulled back before he could do anything, though.
"That's all I get?" Jinxx pouted.
"Yep." I told him, popping the p. I smirked and swung my legs gently.
"I say we go all the way." Jinxx whispered as he put his hands on my hips.
My breathing faltered, but not in a good way. "C-Can it wait?"
Jinxx's attitude flipped in a second as his face softened. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Nothing's... Nothing's wrong." I told him while biting the inside of my lips.
"Do you know what I teach?" Jinxx asked me. I shook my head. "I teach psychology. Sometimes sociology. You say nothing's wrong, but your body language says differently."
I raised an eyebrow. "How so, Jinxx?"
"One, you're absentmindedly rubbing your arms. Two, you can't keep eye contact for long. Three, your feet are moving too much for you to be stating the truth. Four, you're biting the inside of your lips. And five, you're tensed up." Jinxx told me while staring at me in the eyes.
"Damn. You should be on a fucking crime show..."
"So, I'm correct? Aren't I?" I sighed and nodded. "Then tell me what's wrong, Jake."
I pondered for a moment. Yes? Or no? Yes? Or no? Yes? No? ...yes? ....no....?
"I don't like intercourse." I mumbled.
"Are you asexual?" My clockmate asked me. I sighed and nodded. "How do you know?" Jinxx asked me as he pulled up a chair to sit in from of me.
"I dated this one kid... Um... What was his name... Alan! I dated him before he found his clockmate. He forced me into it. I just went along with it... We did the frickle frack... And yeah. So, I'm asexual... But I'm also gay." I explained. Jinxx smiled genuinely and squeezed my knee.
"I'd never force you into anything. And if you don't wanna do it, we won't. I promise." Jinxx said before he stood up and captured my lips with his.
I kissed him back and wrapped my arms around his neck. Jinxx rubbed little circles into my ribcage with his thumb and stood in between my legs. I had to stop kissing him when I started laughing.
"What? What's so funny?" Jinxx asked me.
"The school people are gonna see this on a security camera. What the hell will they say!?" I laughed.
"The board passed a rule. This-" Jinxx pointed at himself and I. "-Is legal. ONLY as long as our wrists are at zero."
