Walking down the street, I stopped at a Starbucks and got a coffee before heading over to my brother's house.

I peered at my clock.

45 minutes, 39 seconds

I scoffed and mumbled a, "Yeah right," before knocking on Mike's door. He threw open the door and screamed, "VICTORRRRRR!" Before wrapping his arms around me and swinging me around.

"MIKE! COFFEE!"

"I'D LOVE SOME COFFEE!"

"NO, MIKE! I HAVE COFFEE!"

He set me down before looking at the cup and asking me in a quiet voice, "Can I have a sip?"

I sighed. "A sip! SIP. S-I-P. NOT. A gulp." Mike grabbed the cup and downed about a quarter of it anyways. I rolled my eyes and trekked to the basement to see Tony and Jaime.

"Hey, aren't you supposed to be getting ready?" Tony asked me.

"I think it's a load of bullshit. I mean, what? I can't choose my own husband or wife? Such a fucking load of bullshit," I exclaimed. Tony's eyes teared up. I knew he had already found his clockmate. It was Mike. Jaime and I still had yet to find out who ours were, though.

"Vic, you can't keep acting like an asshole. If you're gonna act like an asshole, people are gonna think you're an asshole. If people think you're an asshole, you're gonna actually be an asshole," Mike lectured me.

"Hmf."

Tony whipped out his phone. "Do you wanna ask Alexandria? She just went through the exact same thing. Talk to her." Tony pressed his phone up to my ear and called his little sister.

"Hey, Tone!" I heard Alexandria's chirpy voice on the other end.

"No, actually it's Vic. You see-"

"Clockmate. Almost time. You're an asshole. Tony called. Gave you phone. I'm on my way." She hung up and I sighed.

"Her, here, here, here, aaaand... Here." Alexandria handed me my clothes. She had forced me to take a shower, and now she's forcing me to change my outfit.

I sighed, and seeing as Alexandria had eyes only for her clockmate, Ash, I changed around the other side of my bed, still talking to her.

"Where do you wanna go?" Alexandria asked me.

I slipped on a white shirt and said, "I dunno. How 'bout... I don't care."

She sat there and thought for a moment as I wiggled into some red skinnies and slipped on some black Vans.

"Wait... Don't you guys have a concert today?" Alexandria asked me.

All of a sudden, we heard three 'SHIT's from the other side of the closed bedroom door. I looked at the girl and she just shrugged. I pulled on the red, white, and black flannel Alexandria handed me and stuffed my hair underneath a black beanie.

"Yeah. We do. Let's go. It's in about thirty minutes. Let's go," I told her.

"FUCK!" I screamed. I was currently behind the stage. It was a festival for some occasion we were playing at with Of Mice & Men, Bring Me The Horizon, And some other band called Sleeping With Sirens.
