*Lashton*

(Luke Hemmings + Ashton Irwin)

I ran around my ship, trying to fly the damned thing. Since Calum and Michael were at the hospital for Michael's face catching on fire, I was the only one. We needed to abduct one more human to finish our school project on the species.

I flew around the countryside, looking for any sign of civilisation.

"C'mon! There's gotta be at least one god damn house out here! I can't fly this thing on my own for long!" I complained to no one. And as if the heavens were listening to my pleads, there was a house.

"Is that... Is it?" I gasped. "IT IS! THANK THE GOD I DON'T BELIEVE IN!" I screamed out loud.

I stationed the ship above the home and let out a breathe of relief. It was easier for me to keep the ship still by myself than to fly it. I began to transport the only sign of human life occupying the house.

"Beam me up, Scotty!" I sarcastically said to myself. I whined. "I need a life... But I gotta focus! Focus, focus, focus..."

I turned around to see a really, really, really nice-looking human. He looked so perfect standing there in his American Apparel underwear and oversized orange shirt. (5sos reference)

"What?" He groaned. The beeping of his clock began to sober him up. He looked at it and back at me. I swallowed. I had surgically removed my clock. It gave me panic attacks that got in the way of my life. But somehow, I could still hear a faint beeping coming from my wrist. The boy looked around. "Am I lucid dreaming?" He asked himself.

"Nope. You're my clockmate. You're a human and I'm an alien. Hi! I'm Luke!" I beamed at him.

'Great, now you've freaked him out,' I thought to myself.

The boy rubbed his eyes and looked around in a more fully awaken state. "So... You're my clockmate?" He asked me. I nodded. "Cool. What's your name again?"

I was taken aback. "Luke. Are you not going to freak out at the fact that I'm an alien?" I waved my hands around myself.

He shook his head. "Nah. I mean... My friend Rian learned that his clockmate was a werewolf. My other friend Tino found his clockmate and he was a Neko." He looked down in thought. "Then there was Oliver... His clockmate was a vampire..."

"So it's like... A normal thing to have a supernatural clockmate?!" He nodded. I groaned. "Why is the human race just now waking up to the universe's oppourtunities?!" I facepalmed. I looked back up at the half-dressed boy. "I never got your name."

"Oh, hi. I'm Ashton. Yup. Hi." He waved at me. "Are you like those aliens I see in the movies?" Ashton asked me.

"The only thing I have that's different then you is the fact that I have a bigger brain capacity, I can breathe underwater and in toxic air, if I cut off a limb, it grows back... Um... What else... I can float. Not fly, but float." I explained.

"Ooh! Show me!" Ashton anticipated.

I floated about a foot or two off the floor and laid on my back. Ashton came over and laid perpendicular on my stomach.

"Am I too heavy?" He asked me. I shook my head. Ashton looked around the ship again. "Are there others?"

"Actually, yeah. Calum and Michael."

"Where are they?"

"Michael tried fixing some wiring in... Somewhere. And it caught on fire and he burned his face apparently. I dunno. I was asleep when it happened." I explained.

Ashton hummed in acknowledgement. "So why are you guys here? On Earth?"

"We're studying the human species as a group science project." I replied.

"Coolios, I guess. Seems kinda boring."

"Well. You are a pretty close-minded and dumb species."

"I'm not denying that."

We both laughed and he looked over at me, laying on me in a parallel position. I couldn't help but smirk when I saw his eyes dart to my lips. I leaned in and gave him a slow, loving kiss.

But it was interrupted when Michael came barging through the door that lead to the kitchen screaming, "I'M ALIIIIVE!"

Ashton fell off me and onto the ground in fear and I fell down next to him. I sat up and saw Michael with his bandaged head tilted to the side. "Who's he and why are you kissing him?"

"This is Ashton the human. My clockmate." I told him.

"Er cerkmert?" Calum asked from behind Michael with a piece of buttered bread in his mouth.

"Yup." I smiled. Ashton was sort of hiding behind me and I looked at him. "It's okay. They won't hurt you. I promise." He nodded. I looked back at the pair of friends. "No experiments shall be done on this human being!"

"None?" Calum asked me.

"None!

"Positive?"

"Absolutely!"

"Fine."
