Dream looked out from the deck of the ship, he could see land from far away. As the ship rocked and edged closer to the land Dream's mind raced. Soon they will be docking and he will have to actually start his plan. His heart rate began to rise and he began pacing, he wasn't sure he was ready for this.
No, he has to be ready. He can't think about it to much, he just has to do it.

Dream grabbed his bags and stood behind king Marlof, he was waiting to go down on land. The king said he would take him for a tour once he got settled in. Dream decided he would use this to his advantage, this will all be a lot easier if he knows the place and his surroundings. This could make it a lot easier to escape from the kingdom and move out on his journey.
In front of him he saw the king begin to leave the ship, which meant it was his turn to start leaving as well. Dream walked down the plank, he took cautious steps, he didn't want to fall into the water. If he wasn't saved by someone he would drown, and that's not how he wants to go out.
Once they were off the boat they were greeted by some of the kings castle staff who took their bags. The workers took their bags and ran off to go put them away in the castle. Then king Marlof turned and looked down to face Dream.
"Well, follow me then. It's time to give you a tour of my wonderful kingdom!" The powerful king laughed. Dream gave a polite smile and nodded to the man covered in gold. Then the two left the docks and began walking to the large kingdom. Dream stared as people waved and smiled at the two. Looking up from their work or chores and shouting hellos and wishes.
King Marlof showed him around this grand kingdom, he showed him the library, the shops, statues, and many other things. "And now as you can see, this is the castle where I reside." The king beamed, proud of his home. "And inside is my daughter Serena, or your future wife." The king laughed and smiled, and Dream laughed awkwardly.
King Marlof began walking towards the castle's grand entrance. "Come on then, your finally gonna get to meet her!" The king said excitedly. Dream followed behind.
"Great." Dream said, trying not to be completely silent right now. They made their way through the castle, going up flights of stairs and walking through giant hallways. Eventually though they stopped at a door. The king knocked loudly three times and stepped back away from the door.
"One moment please!" Dream heard a woman say from the other side. They waited for a short bit until the door opened. A woman stared back at Dream with her big, caramel shaded eyes. She was wearing a long and very fancy light blue dress with white accents and a pearl necklace and earrings to match.
"Hello." She said politely, giving Dream a friendly smile.
"Well, I'll give you some time alone." The king in red and gold said before walking off. This just left Dream and Serena, they stared at each other for a moment, collecting their thoughts.
"Hello, I'm Serena." She held out her hand, Dream took and shook it.
"I'm Dream." He said, returning the friendly smile she gave him just a few moments ago.
"Well, would you like to come inside and chat, Dream? I could have one of my maidens make us tea." Serena offered, opening her door more so he could see inside.
"That would be lovely, thank you." Dream said, so they stepped inside. The two sat in two chairs across from each other. Dream sipped on his cup of tea awkwardly, not knowing what to say for a moment. Eventually though, Serena brought up and they began chatting.
After chatting for a long time Dream found a question he decided he wanted to ask. "Answer me honestly, do you even want to marry me?" Dream asked, Serena was caught off guard by the question. She stayed silent for a moment before speaking.
"I'm sorry, Dream, you are an amazing guy, truly, but I'm not interested in marrying you." She said, waiting for my response. Dream felt a grin grow on his face.
"Don't worry, I don't want to marry you either. I'm actually interested in someone else." Dream blushed at the last part, feeling a little embarrassed. But Serena's eyes light up, her eyes turning gold in the sunlight.
"Who's the lucky one?" She asked, clearly interested.
"Well, he's from my kingdom, and his name is Horror." Dream mumbled, feeling a shy now.
"EEEEEE! THAT'S SO SWEET!" Serena shrieked, clearly happy for the golden eyes individual.
"Yeah, and I was actually wondering if you could help me." This made Serena curious, she stared at the small individual, interested. Dream sighed before continuing. "I'm planning to run off before our wedding and travel far and to a different kingdom, where I can find a ship and sail back to my land. Then I plan to take down my father and save my people." Dream admitted, Serena nodded, she appeared to be deep in thought.
"And what do you need my help with?" Serena asked, curious what part she would play in this.
"Well, I was hoping you could one, cover for me and help me not get caught. And two, is there anyone you know who would be willing to help me on this journey?" Dream asked, Serena thought for a minute until she snapped her fingers.
"I know someone! I could introduce you two them tomorrow! And of course I'll try to help you not get caught." Serena said, beaming with joy.
"So, is this a deal?"
"Yes, you've got yourself a deal, my friend."
