The whole world seemed to turn red, his ears began to ring. He could see mouths moving, but couldn't hear a thing. He can't recall what happened next so you'll just have to take other eyewitnesses accounts.

He moved at an inhuman speed, adrenaline kicking in as he shot three arrows, two aimed at the tentacle holding Blue and the other at his own brother's right eye. They all hit. Nightmare howled in pain and instinctively dropped Blue who took his sword which had fallen out of his hand when he came crashing down and ran to his friends, afraid to get in the middle of what would happen next.

Dream took his sword in his dominant hand and rushed towards Nightmare. "You-" It was all Nightmare could mutter out before they both fell to the floor. Nightmare was covering his eye with one hand while trying to move his tentacles to stop Dream's sword.

He was stabbed once, but he didn't hit a vital organ. Why? After two more wounds were inflicted by Dream a tentacle wrapped around his neck and pulled. Dream attempted to use his non dominant hand to pull it off but couldn't, and was left gasping for air as his vision blurred more and his attacks became less effective.

He would die, he was sure of it. What a humiliating defeat also, he hoped to make it back to his homeland and save his people but all that happened was he made three friends and got strangled.

Just then a blade came down and was able to free Dream. He gasped as he held his throat gently.

"Error!" He heard someone very close to him shout, Blue. He was the one who saved him, again. He was then pulled away by Killer as Error used his strings to knock Nightmare unconscious, then tying both of their attackers to trees.

"I don't get it, why don't we just kill them? They attacked us and me and Dream both seem to have bad pasta with these guys. They'll never agree to help us." Killer complained as Dream and Error applied pressure to his wounds before the two of them bandaged him up.

"We have to try." Was all that was said before silence fell upon them. "Killer, you must be exhausted. Get some rest, we'll watch these guys." Blue added to the conversation, the silence feeling a bit awkward to him.

"Okay." Killer whispered before shutting his eyes.

They heard a groan, one of them was awake. After some investigating, they concluded it was Dust. How do you investigate that, you ask? Well when one of them still has their eyes closed and the other one is kicking and screaming like a toddler you can conclude who is awake.

"Hey hey, calm down. It's okay, we won't hurt you." Dream tried to assure the panicked man, sitting down a few feet away to show he could trust him. After a minute or more of Dream's quiet comfort Dust quieted down.

"Why didn't you kill us? What do you want?" Dust hissed, humiliated by his defeat.

"Well, my name is Dream. I'm from a corrupt kingdom and have a DREAM to overthrow the king and save my people. I was hoping you'd help me." Dream replied, smiling. His pun made Dust snicker and disappointed Blue.

"Why would I help you?" Dust asked.

"Well, why do you stay here killing travelers?"

" ... "

"I can imagine such a life to be empty and unfulfilling. I'm here to promise a glorious adventure, saving hundreds of thousands and getting placed in the history books as a hero. We will have the money and food to ensure you a good life afterwards. Plus it would be nice to have more friends, wouldn't it?" Dream offered.

" ... "

Dream waited hesitantly.

"Fine."

It took a bit more convincing than that for Nightmare, but soon enough they had two more people joining them and were back on the trail.
