Revolution

Chapter 8

Serena walked through the kingdom, her heeled boots clicking as she walked down the stone paths, Dream following close behind. "He should be around here somewhere, this is the area he lives and works." Serena told Dream, searching for this mysterious person. 

"Ah, there he is!" Serena said excited, picking up her pace to catch this stranger. She held her dress up in order not to trip on it. Dream rushed to keep up with her. The other skeleton turned around to see the two running towards him, making him stop.

"Can I help you?" The skeleton asked, wondering why the princess and this fancy stranger were chasing him. 

"Oh, yes, sorry. I'm Serena, princess of Rankalf. And this is Dream, prince of the kingdom Terlaria." Serena said, doing a curtsy as a sign of respect. The skeleton laughed, which made Dream and Serena a bit confused.

"Silly! I know Rankalf! I live here! Anyway, what do you need?" He said, having a smile printed on his face. Dream looked at Serena in a way that said to let him talk.

"Uhm, yes. And I need your help. I would like you to go on an adventure with me to save my people. You see.. my father is really corrupt, and I need help saving my people. So, I need to know if you would be willing to help me?" Dream looked back up at the fellow skeleton who had the biggest grin on his face.

"Of course I want to help! I've always wanted to go on a adventure!" The skeleton said excited, Dream sighed in relief and smiled back.

"Thank you..." Dream stopped, realizing that he didn't know the others name.

"Blue! The names Blue!" The skeleton with blue clothes smiled. 

"Well then, I'm looking forward to becoming friends Blue! Can you come by the castle later so we can all talk? Tell them that we invited you." Dream offered, Blue nodded and smiled.

"Alright, I'll come by sometime today!" 

"Splendid! See you then!" The three waved and parted ways, Dream and Serena heading back to the castle and Blue heading back to his work.

"Who are you?"

"Hello! I'm Blue! Princess and prince Serena and Dream have asked for me to come here!"

"Alright, we will ask them then. If your lying there will be consequences."

"Princess? Did you request for someone by the name of Blue to visit?"

"Oh, yes! Is he here?"

"Yes he is, would you like me to bring him here?"

"That would be lovely."

"Hello Blue!"

"Hey guys!"

"Okay, just give me a second to get out my map." Dream said, pulling out his bag and rummaging through it. Finally, he found the map and spread it out across the floor. The three all sat down on the floor around the map, looking at it and it's markings. "Blue, I need to know. Have you ever been to any of these places before?" Dream asked, it could be game changing if he has.

"No, but my brother has." 

"Where has he been?" 

"Just the next kingdom over, nothing far." Blue said, pointing at the kingdom directly next to the one they were in. Dream nodded, thinking.

"Has he told you anything about it?"

"Hmm, well he has told me that when he visited Ghasdai that the people there seemed to be a bit blood thirsty, the crime rate was insane." Blue said, thinking back on his brothers words.

Dream nodded, glad to have new information but also a lot more scared of traveling there. "Was there anyone there that he talked about?" 

"Oh! There was! He talked about some skeleton with black tears. The first time they met the skeleton jumped him, trying to kill him. But eventually the tear stained one grew to like my brother." Blue described, this gave Dream a new idea.

"Then, what if your brother traveled with us to the neighboring kingdom first. He could find that skeleton and convince him to help us, then he can travel back home." Dream offered, getting excited.

"Yeah! That could work! The kingdoms aren't to far apart, it should only take about a day to get there if you take care of yourself and basic needs." Serena piped in, backing up Dream's idea. The two faced Blue, now all they needed was for him to agree and then they'd be set.

"Alright, that sounds like a great plan! I can convince him when I get home!" Dream punched his fist in the air as a sign of celebration and Serena cheered, this plan was looking good so far. If all goes well, Dream will be leaving the neighboring kingdom with two people accompanying him on his mission.
