"Wait you mean father actually begged you to help raise one of his bastards so his wife wouldn't find out?" Stephanie asked in bewilderment while clenching and unclenching her hands. She was trying hard not to get mad and all but it wasn't working. It felt like her aunt had betrayed her. They both knew the trauma she had to go through to get to this stage and now she's going to share her safe space with another girl who probably has an evil character.
"Ileri, try to understand me. He just wants her to stay under my roof for the main time. You know how vile his wife can be. This is your chance at having a sister and trying out all the good stuffs you and Kimberly usually do. Just don't let your hate for your father rub off on the poor girl, she's just like you" Her aunt sighed and Stephanie nodded.
She didn't know how to describe whatever she was feeling but she needed to get the hell out of here and breathe proper air.
Home wasn't feeling like home again,once again her father was messing up her life.
She walked back to her room and she picked up her phone, she wanted to dial Tolu but she changed her mind, she didn't want to depend on him. She didn't want to seem too clingy.
Who knows the relationship might end soon and what happens after then?
She met her aunt by the door and she tried to bypass her. The woman wasn't having any of it. Each attempt at leaving her room was blocked by her and she groaned in frustration.

"Excuse me, I want to get fresh air" She gritted out and the other woman shook her head.
"Ileri, you're too pissed for fresh air and I don't think that's what you really need now. I'm sorry I didn't tell you early but she's coming on Sunday" Her aunt added and Stephanie chuckled humorlessly.
"No don't apologize for not telling me earlier, I'm not your daughter. If I was with my mom, she would've told me earlier because everyone knows I hate sharing my safe space but there's no qualms. I totally get it, it's your house and your money not mine" Stephanie spat and her aunt recoiled. She was hurt by her words and it showed on her face. Stephanie walked out of the house. She kept on walking without even knowing where she's going.

Sunday.
Stephanie sat in the waiting area of the Muritala Muhammed airport and she had a neutral look on her face. She would rather be anywhere than here but Demi forced her to come here, she would've loved to stay back at home and watch a movie or something.
Soon someone walked towards their direction and Stephanie had to admit she was way too pretty to be in here. Everything about her screamed pretty and She knew Femi Martins would do justice to her beauty with his magical camera.
The person rushed towards her aunt and she hugged her tight while smiling. She gushed on how beautiful her aunt looked and Stephanie rolled her eyes.
When her eyes landed on Stephanie, she walked towards her with another huge smile and Stephanie was compelled to return the smile. She hugged her longer than normal and Stephanie wanted to scream in frustration.
Damn girl, you're crushing me!.
"You must be Stephanie. I actually stalked you all since I heard I'm moving here and I have to admit that I'm a fan. You and your best friend look so bad ass together. I really love your face" Michelle gushed and Stephanie smiled uncomfortably. She decided the universe wants to punish her because her sister is a people pleaser.

Demi who was oblivious of his environment looked up and he waved at her but she surprised them all by pulling him into a hug. Demi coughed weirdly and Stephanie wanted to laugh. Stephanie could swear she saw him check her out and before she could say jack, he was back to focusing his attention on his phone.
They all walked out of the airport and they went home. Demi's mom was way too excited for Michelle's arrival and she cooked a large meal. Stephanie groaned when she heard that Michelle was going to be joining EC when the next term resumes to write her WAEC, meaning she was going to hang around for a long time.

"I'm so sorry to disturb you, can I come in?" Michelle asked poking her head into Stephanie's room. Stephanie nodded and gave her a tight lipped smile. She walked in with a large indoor slippers on her feet and Stephanie closed her iPad before turning to look at the girl.
"I actually want us to become friends. I don't want you to feel like I'm here to replace you or I'm a threat to you. I'm grateful I have a peaceful roof over my head now and I won't trade that for anything. Back in New York, I had to sleep with one eyes open, Pappy's wife paid hitmen to take me down and I lived in fear. She doesn't want any of us within one radius of her family. Woman's crazy" Michelle sighed and Stephanie's heart went out to her.
