What Happened Last Night?

As it turns out, you were unable to fight the Zombie-Maker with your party.

Your employer, Wiz, needed you to watch the store that night, because she had business somewhere.

Whenever she said 'business' instead of straight telling you what she was doing, she really didn't want you to know.

So being the outstanding employee you were, you told Kazuma that you would be unable to go because of work.

Even though you had been the one on his case the most about working, he was pretty upset, but seemed to understand. Aqua needed more levels and Zombie makers were quite low level, so you wouldn't be needed any how.

So... You were stuck at the store, at night.

Alone.

Wiz walked ball into the store after Midnight, and she looked pretty spooked. Part of her body was incorporeal and the rest looked sickly.

You ran over to her to help her to her bed, and as you shuffled over she gave a small "Thank you."

You made her some soup and left it beside her bed.

Looks like your taking care of the shop tomorrow.

At some point, Wiz tried to walk out of her room, but you pushed her back in. She needed rest, being partially incorporeal seems like it would take a day or two before she was fully ready to go.

So you kept the store running until you were certain she was fine.

A few minutes after forcing Wiz to take care of herself, Kazuma walked into the door.

He spotted you and walked over to the counter.

"So this is the job you had on the side. I'm pretty impressed, it looks like a good business." As Kazuma was talking, you saw Aqua walking toward a wall of explosive healing potions and rushed over to her, waving your hands around.

Aqua stared at you as you waves around frantically before taking another look at the bottle. "Hmm, Warning: Potion explodes upon digestion? How does that work?"

Kazuma took another look around the shop, noting that very few items are usable.

"I take it back, this place is worthless. How do you sell so many useless items?" Kazuma started going on a tangent.

You threw a paper at his head, interrupting him, that explained that you were not the owner and that the owner was sick at the moment. It calmed him down.

Which was when Wiz walked into the store, surprising Kazuma and Aqua.

"If you are trying to harm my employee than I wi- Oh, hello Kazuma."

Wiz cut herself off upon the sight of Kazuma and Aqua, who started fuming at the sight of her.

"Filthy Undead, what are you doing with my party member!"

Aqua started charging at Wiz before being hit in the head by Kazuma hit her in the head, stopping her from doing anything.

"Aqua, stop it!"

It kind of reminded you of how you met Aqua.

"This is a lich, she could probably kill everyone in this room if she felt inclined. So for the love of God, please shut up."

'Hold up, Kazuma is saying that Wiz, the clumsy shop keeper who could make Cinnamon Rolls look bitter with how much of a cinnamon roll she is, is secretly one of the strongest undead? I'm not buying it.'

As you kept staring back at forth in between Kazuma and Wiz, trying to see how those two things could be linked, an old man walked into the room.

"Ahh, Wiz, please I need your help!"

So, according to the old guy, who was a butler at some old run down mansion, ghosts had been haunting the place, and he wanted Wiz to get rid of them. Since Wiz needed rest however, you and Kazuma decided to volunteer.

And since the caretaker was so nice, he is letting your party live there once everything is done with.

So, your party was cleaning the mansion as Aqua ranted about the history of the location. Apparently some child died here to the same illness their father and the maid who gave birth to them.

So, your party were preparing to exorcise the ghosts.

Though when Night came, it was a completely different story.
