"Thirty six hours straight, Elijah has this parade of performers following him! I don't think I've ever seen him more embarrassed or annoyed since." Kol finishes the story of when Nik compelled a band of performers to follow Elijah around when they lived in New Orleans. "Oh my lord I wish I got to see that." I laughed tapping the bar for another round of shots, none of us feeling the effects of the whiskey. We've been at the Grill for twenty minutes as Kol and Nik fed me stories of their time the past thousand years. "Come on, Wolfie, tell us a story!" Kol urges taking his shot quickly. I look up In thought for a moment, leaning into Nik's side before I hum in remembrance holding a finger up. " Alright so my older brother, Jace, had the bright idea to wake me up at three in the morning and steal our parent's car to go get ice cream. So when we get in the car and put it in reverse to back out of the driveway our mom comes running out of the house in her pj's screaming at my brother and I to get out of the car. But, my brilliant brother steps on the gas reverses the car and quickly drives off as our mom is screaming at us. We go to a twenty four hour supermarket in our pj's get ice cream for us and our mom and drive back home where our mother is standing in the drive way absolutely livid. I mean smoke could have been coming out of her ears and her eyes glowing red livid. And instead of apologizing or anything I take the pint of ice cream we got for her and held it to her and said: 'Don't tell dad and this will be yours.' To which my brother started dying of laughter." I tell the two, giggling at the story every now and again. They started laughing by the end, genuine laughs.
"What did your mother say?" Nik asks sipping his bourbon. "She said 'Next time take me with you.' and grabbed her pint and went inside. Jace couldn't believe that worked." I told them and Kol burst into laughter again while I smiled at the memory. "You're brother seemed like a riot." Nik said rubbing my back in a soothing motion. "Mhm. He would have like you guys. Probably would have fought you though." I said directing the last bit of my words to Nik. "What? Why?" He asks in confusion and somewhat genuine concern. "Probably cause you're a wanker." Kol says making me giggle a bit which was not appreciated by my soulmate. "No, it's a wolf thing. To prove you're 'worthy' of me, soulmate thing aside. Mostly he would have done it for shits and giggles, he loved a good fight every now and again." I shrugged. "Well then I guess I would have had quite the battle on my hands. Especially if he fought anything like you, love." Nik said. "Now that I would love to see, darling." Kol said with a wink causing Nik to tighten his grip around my hips. "Alright, more shots I have a bet to win!" I said tapping the bar.
****Time skip ****
Kol is now a tipsy and I, however, am holding my own very well. "How are you not affected yet? Are you cheating, Wolfie?" Kol asks a bit slurred. I bit my lip trying not to laugh while Nik laughed right at his brother. "Maybe she can hold her liquor better than you, brother." Nik teased. Just then Caroline walks into The Grill and we spot each other. "Care!" I call for her gesturing over to where I was sat wrapped in my mates arms. "Look, brother, weren't you following her like a lost puppy last night?" Nik teases Kol setting his chin on my shoulder and pulling me closer to him, almost puling me on his lap. " Another word and I'll tear out your liver." Kol warned annoyed by the, partially true, statement. "Hey, Ally. Hello, Klaus. Kol." Caroline greeted me with a hug Nik with a nod and Kol with attitude. "Darling, care to join us in a drink?" Kol offered offering his shot to her. "Id rather die of thirst. I'll see you later, A." Caroline replied before giving me a kind smile and walking away. "She is exquisite isn't she?" Kol says to us watching her walk away. "And she's obviously smart enough to walk away from you." Nik jokingly jabbed at his brother with a smirk making me bite my lip to keep in a laugh. "I'll take that as a challenge." Kol said before getting up and going to chase after Caroline. "Does this mean I won the bet?" I yelled after him, Nik and I laughing as Kol simply threw a middle finger my way.
"Finally a moment with you." Nik said standing up, placing me in his seat and planting a deep, heart pounding kiss on my lips. When we pulled apart I took a deep breath and let it out with a satisfied hum. "You are so special to me , Niklaus Mikaelson." I admit honestly playing with his hair as I keep my gaze on his baby blue irises. His pupils slightly dilate at he words as he shows a genuine and content smile. "You have no idea what you mean to me, my love." He says before kissing my forehead. God, I'm so in love it can be classified as insanity at this point. I think back to when we were talking about my brother. Jace and Nik could've probably been best friends to the point were it would bug the hell out of me but make me so happy at the same time. "What's on your mind, sweetheart?" Nik asks me moving the hair from my face and rubbing his finger tips in a soothing manner in circles at the nape of my neck. "Jace would have been so happy about you. I think you two could have been really close yourselves, almost to the point of making me regret introducing the two of you." I claimed with a tiny smile which he reciprocated. "I wish I got to meet them. All of them, though I have a feeling their daughter or sister being mated to the infamous ruthless original hybrid is something they would be as accepting of as you think." He says with doubt making me laugh. "My parents were hardly saints, Nik. My father had a dark past before being with my mother, he was a powerful wolf and used it to get what he wanted or needed, resulting in enemies. When he met my mother it was like his angry soul had found a home. When other packs and hunters had learned that my father,The Alpha of the Freki pack and my mother The queen and Alpha of the Red Moon pack had come together enemies came to destroy them. They obviously won, married bringing the two powerful packs together and had heirs." I reminiced. "They had blood on their hands too, mi Rei. If anything you'd fit right in with the family." I comforted cupping his face with my hands placing a peck on his lips. Suddenly Nik was grabbing at his chest and gasping for air. "Nik?! Nik what's going on?! Baby, what's wrong?" I started to shout worrying pulling us out the front of the grill as fast as I could without causing too much of a scene.
