She Wouldn't Do It For You

I let Bonnie get settled among all the spell books and showed her the possibilities that Nik and I found for the linking spell Esther could have used, Sage roaming Finns room up the stairs. I was drinking a glass of whiskey waiting for the rest of the family to arrive. I heard them before they even made it to the door, bickering and smart remarks thrown back and forth. "Darling, we're home!" Nik says and appear before him, his annoyance with his brother writes across his face but if you looked there was a sadness there, guilt. 

"Tell your brute of a soulmate I will not be forced into helping him." Finn spat to me. "Why force you, Finn? When we can persuade?" I questioned.  "Come down!" I yelled for sage and she walked out from the shadows her and Finn gravitated sword each other and their connection was instant. "True love prevails." Rebekah said obviously annoyed with her brother but somewhat at peace with his momentary pause on his strive for death. "It does have it's occasional uses."I hear Nik answer. I walk over to them and give Nik a kiss on the cheek. "Well it was certainly useful today." I added.

 "What else do you need from me I have revenge to enact on Damon Salvatore?" Rebekah asks. "Just you're blood and your blessing." Nik says. "Is it because of...?" I trailed off asking why she's going to get Damon, Sage told me previously. "Exactly my dear sister." She said with a smile. "Don't worry Nik. Her revenge is justified." I said as Rebekah walked out the door after putting her blood in one of the vials we had two with Lijah and Kol's blood in it.

"Alright, now to get the Bennet witch to help." Nik said about to walk away but I grabbed him and pulled him to me with a smirk. "Already upstairs looking through the journals. Willing to help on her own, so please be nice." I informed as he wrapped around my waist his hand subtly resting on the curve of my butt. "As you wish." He said before kissing my lips making me smile. "Ahem." A voice interrupted us, we turned to face Finn and Sage who were holding hands waiting for our attention. "Are you going to take my blood now or?" Finn asked. I shimmied out if Nik's grasp and walked to the last vial we had and held it out to him. "I'm only doing this for her."  He claims. I nod my head in understanding before speaking. "I know." 

I motioned for him to start and he bit his wrist and let the blood flow till the vial was filled. I closed said vial and put it with the others. The two vampire lovers sped off together leaving Nik and I alone together. "Well let's go help out, Bonnie. The sooner this is over the better." I said grabbing my boyfriends hand, guiding him up the stairs. Half way up he resists my guidance making me turn and face him in confusion. 

There's a look on his face, its hesitant and vulnerable. "Baby, what's wrong?" I ask getting closer to him and putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Nothing, little red wolf, I just uh....." He stops talking his nerves getting the best of him. "You're scared. I am too but I will be with you. Now come on and be nice." I said but before I could turn and continue my walk up the stairs Nik turned me back around and kissed me passionately. His hands pulling me so close to him our entire fronts of our bodies were touching, our hearts beating against one another in their own language. "Thank you, Sweetheart." He said pulling away from me. "Always." I replied as we went to check on Bonnie.

"Hey, Bonnie, any progress?" I ask walking in the library after knocking on the slightly opened door. She took a deep breath looking at one of the possible spells. "From what Elena told me about Esthers spell and what you've told me this should be the one she used, but it's really powerful." She said before looking up, her eyes are stressed but warm when meeting me but a quick glance behind me and anxiety replaces her warmth. "He's promised to play nice." I ell her and her anxiety simmers a bit. "Yes, I plan to keep said promise to my darling soulmate so please Ms. Bennett as you were. I'll bring the other necessary requirements."  Nik says meaning he'll get the vials which after a kiss to my temple he went to do. I knew he was taking his time to do so. He could have sped in and out the room but he needed a moment. "You've got this Bonnie Bennet. You are more than powerful enough, I know you can do this okay?" I told her, it was the whole hearted truth.

After a few moments of her studying the spell and figuring out every detail she felt ready to start. "Let me find-" I started but was cut off be screams. "What was that?!" Bonnie asked. "Damon. Rebekah is getting back at him for sleeping with and using her to trying kill the family. I guess what she's doing is really-" Im cut off my screaming again. "Painful. I'll tell her to uh ease up so you can focus." I told her with a sympathetic smile. I know she's pissed at Damon for turning her mom but she also has far more morals than any of as at the moment so torturing him must not settle well with her. I pace out the door and and down the stairs. "Beks! Please, we need to focus upstairs." I said looking at her with a bloody knife in her hand and a bloody Damon hanging from bear traps on the ceiling next to her. The chains and bear traps may me grimace, fuck that's gotta hurt. 

"Is that sympathy? My best friend is still in there somewhere?" A raw voiced Damon questioned. "I'm still human, jack ass." I bit back. "Your humanity vanished when the hybrid dick came to town and swept you off your feet." He said making my anger rise a bit. "I have humanity, Damon, my tolerance is just thin when idiots try to kill my family." I said walking closer now seeing Nik leaned against the table enjoying the show. "You're just a broken mutt." He said with a smirk and that when I lost it. I sped too him and slashed across his torso with my claws and thrusted my hand through his ribcage and held his heart. 

My eyes glew red in anger and my teeth bared for all to see. "I was the only person you had! Stefan tries to kill you: I save your ass! Him and Elena BOTH try to kill you: I save your ass again! I was there to help you get over Katherine, I was there when you feared that you had feelings for Elena! Stefan didn't give a fuck about you but I did! I was there, Me not them!" I screamed in his face my nails digging into his heart. "I had your back, Damon! Why can't you have mine?!" I ask my eyes watering but my voice doesn't waver. He's choking on air and grunting in pain but he can answer. "WHY?!" I demand a growl from my wolf coming through. He looked at me and I knew his answer, it was the same as Finns. He did it for her. "Shame she wouldn't do it for you." I said before releasing his heart and snapping his neck. "Try to keep it down please, sis." I said looking to Rebekah to which she nods her head. "Nik bring Bonnie the vials, please. I'm gonna wash the blood off." I said taking a deep breath. "Are you alright, Darling?" He asked worried. "Yeah, I just finally understand." I said I walk over and peck his lips before leaving.
