Neville listened with true fascination as Harry explained his big plans for the backyard, inputting his own suggestions that Harry wrote down excitedly.

"You've made some great progress Harry!"

"Dray helped the one day we were out here together, but sometimes when I can't sleep I like to come out here. Even if I don't do much, it just makes me feel better to come outside."

"You can have so many wonderful garden parties out here Harry", Luna said dreamily.

"I'd love to do an official housewarming party actually! I'm slowly trying to go through all of the rooms and everything before I start thinking about a job. I got Draco's room set up for him, and then another little space for him."

"How is Draco?"

"He's doing as well as he can be. I sneak him out sometimes, but I really want to get the backyard into some kind of good shape so he's not stuck inside you know?"

"That's very kind of you Harry."

"Thank you Luna. Plus, I can have you lot over more. I have brilliant plans for an in ground pool."

"Where is Draco?"

"Oh that's the second room I was telling you about. I don't know if he really wants me saying anything so I won't go into detail, but I set up this room for him to use as a potions lab. I just hope he's liking it."

"He was very excited about it in his last letter", Luna added happily.

"I'm glad he's been writing to you at least. He needs more company than just me."

"Oh trust me Harry he doesn't mind it."

Neville pulled Luna tightly to his side as she giggled.

"That's reassuring", Harry replied honestly.

"He prefers it here than to The Manor."

"Yeah I would too", Harry grimaced. "That place is awful."

"Hey mate, what happened with Ginny?"

Harry angrily explained the situation.

"I can't believe she attacked him! I always knew she had a temper but that's low even for her."

"I know Nev! I told her we were through for good the last time and I meant it. She can't keep bouncing between Krum and I whenever things get tough. I refuse to speak to her again. I'm sorry Luna."

"She's no longer my friend. Draco is family. It's easy to be good when that's the side your family is on. The rest of the Weasleys are lovely people, all she had to do was align her ideals with theirs. Draco had no choice and because of that he's scarred. Inside and out."

Luna's dreamy tone had gone icy in a way no one had ever heard her speak before. The air became chilled in such a way that Harry was scanning the sky for dementors.

"Keep him safe Harry. He's delicate."

With that last remark, Luna floated back towards the house.

Harry and Neville had similar terrified looks on their faces.

"I've never heard her get like that", Neville said, wide eyed and shaking his head.

"I didn't know Luna could even get angry. I can't even put into words how disturbed I feel about that."

"She's always a sweetheart. I'm not surprised this would make her crack a bit. She adores Draco, he writes at least once a week, and he always sends me his regards."
