"You have been awfully quiet Harry."
It was true. Harry has been lost in thought. Before things went even further, Harry decided he needed to tell Draco that he was bisexual. He didn't think he was lying per say, but it still didn't feel right. Especially after the, what he assumed, was a joking proposition.
"I'm just planning out the rest of our day."
Draco had a feeling Harry was still contemplating what he had said previously. He didn't want to bring it up now though. It had already been about half an hour of singing along quietly to the music and no other sounds.
"I trust you. We could watch grass grow together and I'd still be happy Harry."
"We'll do that the best time I take you out then."
"Next time huh?"
Draco didn't want to be falsely optimistic.
"Unless you plan on hexing me and escaping of course. It's still early."
"You? Never. You're legally forced to put up with me. Living on the run alone would be incredibly boring."
"Legally I have to watch you. I never had to be your friend."
"My best friend.", Draco corrected.
"If Parkinson hears that I'm getting jinxed good."
"I don't think she'd be too mad. I'm expecting an "it's about time you git, why didn't you tell me sooner?" I'll probably get smacked too. But it's worth it."
"We're almost here. Did you finish up whatever you were drawing?"
"Not quite. It's a rough sketch."
"What did you draw?"
"That is for me to know and for you to not find out."
"Maybe I'll leave you here then."
Harry's tone was a little too serious, until he stuck his tongue out at Draco.
"You would never leave me somewhere. You would miss me too much."
Draco was being bold and he knew it, but he truly believed Harry would never leave him.
"I would miss you. I won't deny that. You can draw me if you want.", Harry said offhandedly.
Draco was surprised.
"Really?"
"Of course. I'll even pose if you want me to."
Draco didn't miss the smirk Harry was trying to suppress.
"I like where this is going."
"Who's mind is in the gutter now hmm?"
"You don't know where my mind is Potter."
"And what if it's in the same place mine is Malfoy?"
"I would be pleasantly surprised."
"We're here!"
Draco couldn't stop the light hearted eye roll. Typical Potter. He shrunk his sketchbook down and placed it in his pocket. He needed the comfort since he felt so exposed in unfamiliar territory.
"Okay so I know this probably isn't your style, but I thought it could be fun. And I'll let you pick where we go for dinner if you want. I just thought we should start somewhere where there aren't too many people."
"Let's go."
As Harry got out of the car, Draco fixed his hat and scarf. He had to admit, he looked good in red. Turning to get out, he was surprised to see Harry opening his door and offering him a hand.
