AN: This is it guys, enjoy!

----------CAL'S POV----------

I see her lying there, her chest barely rising. Her red blood flowing between her fingers which lies between her ribs. Everything around me freezes, and it is just me and her. All the colorways drained out of her face, her beautiful eyes stare at me with all the intensity she has left. I feel her begging me to let her go, but my heart won't let me.

She has always been strong. She survived when all the odds were against her. Nothing was ever handed to her, she clawed her way to the top. Her heart leading the way, and her bravery never ending. She had the presence of a warrior, despite her size.

Now she looks so frail, so broken, so desperate to let go.

I know she is ready to leave, she has given everything of herself to this world, and all its done was push her down over and over again.

She whispers to me, "I love you Cal, this isn't your fault. Move on, leave me behind, but don't forget I love you."

I whisper back, "I love you too, Mare," but I know she already left.

I don't feel anything, I feel nothing, no anger, no sadness, nothing at all.

I close her eyes, and she looks like she is sleeping. I could just kiss her and she would wake up with the same intensity in her eyes.

I hear the world again, as if I have emerged from being underwater. The anger hits me like a wrecking ball, as I see Maven standing there holding a knife dripping with red blood. Mare's blood.

I charge at him with everything in me, my fire collides with his. He will pay for everything, he will pay for all the blood he has spilt. He will pay with his life.

----------MAVEN'S POV----------

Her blood drips off the knife in my hands. I watch as my brother holds her as life leaves her body. I don't move, my mind tells me to run, flee, get out of there, but my feet don't move.

I watch as the rage shatters Cal's calm composure. Fire rages in his eyes, flames rising around him.

I don't back down, my fire meets his.

But it is no match. I feel his flames overtake mine. They flood through my body, boiling my blood frying my veins. I guess I deserved this.

To die by my own brother's hand. The exact thing I thought would save me, will kill me.

I drop to my knees, as pain invades every part of my being.

"Bye Maven," he says. His eyes are the last things I see before I leave.

----------CAL'S POV---------

My brother deserved that and more. His blood is on my hands, but I walk away from him. He doesn't deserve my mercy, he doesn't deserve anything. No one bothers me as I go back to her body. I drop down to my knees, and the tears flow freely. I kiss her on her forehead as a farewell.

-2 months later-

I feel the letter in my pocket.

I found it in her room, when I finally brought myself to go back in there. It was addressed to me, my name in her beautiful hand writing.

I haven't been able to open it yet, knowing it is the last piece of her I will ever have. The last words that will be for me. I can't bring myself to acknowledge that she isn't coming back.
