----------CAL'S POV----------

I thought I was just imagining the sounds of tossing and turning, but when I opened my eyes I saw Mare moving. I knew she would wake up today! I got up to see if she needed anything when she started to moan. This was the first movement and sound she had made since she went into a coma. The moaning quickly escalated into loud groans, then they became screams. I was frozen, I couldn't move my feet. It was like watching a fight, it was so horrible to watch but you just couldn't look away. I finally got to my senses, and rushed to her side to wake her.

"Mare, it is time to get up," I whispered into her ear. The only response I got was thrashing and a high pitched scream.

"Mare listen to me, you have to get up!" this time I said it much louder. Her screams just became louder, and her thrashing became intense. Her hand swiped my face, stinging when it made contact.

"MARE WAKE UP!" I yelled. This time when she screamed someone came bursting through the door. I couldn't see them because everything was blurred. A tear escaped my eye, my Mare needed me and I couldn't do anything to help her. More tears ran down my face as I watched the healers trying to stop her thrashing and screams. I don't know if this was good or bad that she could make noise and move now. It didn't seem good. She seemed to be suffering.

I couldn't watch her be like this any longer, so I silently left the room. I let my feet take me where they wished. I ended up outside looking at the once beautiful forest. The trees were now either black and burnt or knocked over. Mare did all of this, she is strong, beautiful, and more amazing than she will ever know.

Julian's voice caught me off guard, "That girl is stronger than she knows. I know she will use that strength to get back to us" I turned around to see him behind me gazing into the forest, "all she had to do was tap into her inner feelings to create or I guess more destroy all of this, or at least that is what Farley led me to believe. Have you talked to her yet?"

"No, and I really don't want to speak to her," I said.

"I thought you might say that, but I suggest you change that mindset because she is heading your way right now. I will leave you two to it." With that Julian left me to fend for myself.

"Tiberias, I thought I might find you here," Farley said.

"What do you want, Diana? Do you want to explain why Mare is now in a coma that even newblood healers can't get her out of? Or do you want to explain why Mare destroyed the entire forest and knocked out 25 people?" I lashed out.

"All I did was was ask her why she betrayed the scarlet guard, then Shade got brought up and she ran off leaving lightning in her wake."

"WHY WOULD YOU BRING UP SHADE?" I yelled at her, feeling my anger boil my blood. Heat was now radiating off me.

"I was angry, she betrayed us just like Maven did!"

"Mare is nothing like Maven, and don't you dare bring him into this!"

"Your highness," a healer was sprinting towards us, "it's Mare."

Those words were all it took to send me sprinting towards her room. My feet couldn't carry me fast enough to her room. All I wanted to see was her beautiful eyes open, and her lips on mine.

Nanabel was standing in front of the door, "Ca-" I didn't wait for her to finish. I pushed her aside and bursted through the door. The covers pushed aside revealed an empty bed, I started to panic. I looked all around the room for her hoping she was waiting behind me so she could wrap her small arms round me. She wasn't there. She wasn't anywhere in that room.

"Where is she, where is Mare?" I asked.

"Cal, she is gone," Nanabel responded.

No one dared to make eye contact with me, or even look at me. "Can I see her, to say goodbye?"

"Cal, she isn't dead, or at least we don't think so. She disappeared. No one was in the room when it happened. We don't know where Mare is Cal," Nanabel was the only one who dared to speak to me.

I had a million things I wanted to say, How could you lose her? We have to start looking for her now? Who was stupid enough to leave her unattended to? But none of them came out of my mouth. I knew the answer to the last question, me. I left her alone. This was all my fault. Mare could be anywhere, she could be hurt, all because of me.

----------MARE'S POV----------

I felt strength slowly start coming back to my body. I felt warmth spread from my toes up to my head, healing me as it moved up my body. I felt my eyes open, then a blinding light struck my eyes. I was able to find the strength to sit up, as my eyes adjusted to the light.

I was in a bed, a huge bed. No one was in the room, but there was a chair right next to the bed. There was a window on the east wall with curtains pulled back letting the morning sun shine into the room. My mind started to recall what had happened, I did all of that, I destroyed so much, I hurt people, I hurt Cal. Cal. I needed to find Cal, make sure he was okay.

I put my feet on the floor, and as soon as I tried to stand up I crumpled under the weight of my own body. I tried to stand again, this time using the chair as support. I let my hands drop to my side, and took a step. One foot after the other I made my way to the door. It became easier the more steps I took. I turned the knob on the door, and made my way into the hallway. I didn't know where I was going, once again letting my feet guide me. Last time I let my feet guide me I ended up in the middle of a forest where I almost killed myself.
