Though a sacrifice must be made
One that the one she cherishes most
Is likely to never forgive
Orbs will be taken
No more survivors shall remain

Nobody in the room could quite figure out what had just happened and not a soul made any move to find out. The lobby remained pitch black and not a sound could be heard, it was like the world had stopped.

The two boys looked around in wonder, unsure if the plan was still to go forward or if even Kurapika had been startled by the gunshot - which would have ultimately ruined their window of opportunity to capture the spider's head.

Leorio was no different from the two, he glanced around the dark room, trying to make some sense out of the darker shadowy masses in an attempt to figure out what he was to do; if he was to still make a dash for the doors.

A crack suddenly sounded throughout the room, bringing everyone back from their thoughts, the hazy feeling of confusion gradually dissipating out of their minds as they all snapped their heads in different directions to locate the source of the noise.

Pakunoda kept her hands firmly on the children's jaws, she strained her eyes in an attempt to look around the room as much as she could without showing any possible weak points to the boys.

A noise much like a cough soon followed, only it sounded as if there was something like a thick liquid blocking the airwaves from escaping the throat. The cough was a hybrid of a hack and what seemed like someone clearing their throat from a cloggage.

The troupe and their captives all perked their ears, listening closely for any sign as to what or who could have caused the noise, similar to how a group of friends would slowly lean forwards as one of the members told a thrilling secret.

Chrollo stood, leaning against the opposite side of the pillar from Killua and Gon, a hand covering his mouth as the corners of his eyes crinkled in what one could only assume to be satisfaction.

He was more than aware of what had just occured, he knew a few members of the troupe would be disappointed but this was the best outcome, the safest move that ensured the survival of the spider. He pulled his hand down from his mouth and looked up to the ceiling with closed eyes and a soft smile as something heavy collided with the floor, a thud echoing around the room.

Gon and Killua took a glance at each other through the corners of their eyes, their faces held concern and sweet dripped down the sides of their faces but the concern melted away once they both came to the same conclusions in their minds.

Continue as planned.

Killua dislocated his wrists and freed himself from Machi's Nen strings, reaching forward to break the arm that held his face while Gon prepared to kick her in the jaw.

Machi blinked and furrowed her eyes in confusion as she felt Killua come loose and Gon's muscles tense. She quickly yanked on Gon's restraints opting to grab ahold of at least one of the kids, hoping Paku could handle the white haired one. "Paku-"

Pakunoda blocked the boy's attempt at breaking her arm, releasing Gon as Machi pulled him away from her and using her now free arm to hook it around Killua and capture him. "You two boys might have really done some damage if you hadn't waited so long."

In the time it took for everyone to wrap their heads around whatever had been happening in the background, the members of the Phantom Troupe successfully managed to gradually regain their vision to the same degree as Killua and Gon. Their was no chance for them to be injured as the shock factor of the lights going out had faded.
