Despite the additional dead weight he was carrying, Feitan's speed made no clear indication of faltering and we found ourselves quickly approaching the hotel via rooftop.
As we neared closer, I took a look at the streets down below. "Hey, Shrimp?" ignoring the nickname, Feitan let out a grunt of aknowledgement. "We should probably head down to the street so we can get to the hotel." I adviced.
Feitan only scoffed. "No." he replied simply.
"What? What do you mean no?" my eyebrows furrowed. How was he going to get into the hotel if... A sudden realisation hit me. "Don't you dare-"
A smirk graced the male's pale face and I felt my throat strain as I contained a shriek as this Shortstack, that I had absolutely no reason to trust, took a giant leap over a busy road below.
"Have you gone mental??" the words fell from my mouth before I could even think to catch them.
Feitan looked smug, his free hand reaching out towards to hotel's outer wall to grab hold of while the other held me tight against him as to not let me fall. "Trust."
Trust you? You and I have been fighting since our first look at each other... I suddenly felt that trust diminishing further.
In spite of my inner thoughts, I begrudgingly made no attempt to voice my opinion and opted instead to remain silent as he skillfully scaled the building.
To my complete and utter surprise, Feitan managed to successfully find the exact window to the room I had been staying in.
Pushing me onto the windowsill, he hooked his fingers beneath the slightly agape window and pushed it up with great ease. Feitan stared at me expectantly.
With a loud sigh, I pulled up my dangling legs up and over the windowsill. Placing them on the floor of my room and stumbling over to my bed.
Feitan followed after me, closing the window behind him and walked over to me.
"We not have long..." he trailed, implying for me to get a move on.
"Right, right..." I waved him of in a discarding manner.
The time was not of great concerns to me at this moment. In fact the idea of going to the base had left my mind entirely, a desire to sleep on my bed sounding much more desirable to my toiling mind.
With this, and while ignoring Feitan's watchful eyes, I allowed myself to fall back on the bed that I only now appreciated so dearly, and closed my eyes.
My intentions, of course, were not to fall asleep. I'm not idiotic enough to fall asleep (no matter how much I most certainly need to) besides someone I hardly know. Especially with the knowledge of his known infamousy.
And considering the fact that I like to believe I'm not a hypocrite, I'm certain Feitan wouldn't be dumb enough to let his guard down around me either, even in my current condition.
With this all said, the plan, if you will, was really just to see what he was to do if I were to fall asleep.
Also it was an excuse to rest my drooping eyes, so win-win.
After a few minutes, I heard a sigh fall from his lips, followed by the sound of footsteps. He had left the room.
Peaking my eyes open, I stared up at the ceiling in a comforting and forgiving silence, something I hadn't felt since the train ride to Yorknew.
I scrunched my eyebrows. I wonder how that little kid is doing. If I truly were alone, I may have laughed.
My mind quickly returned back to Feitan, my eyes closing once again. He was a very odd person, but somehow it was refreshing and despite my very well reasoned lack of trust in the male; something almost felt sincere about him, and yet I just couln't figure him out.
