As we approached the elevator, I took notice of the amount of guards dispersed around the building, there seems to be one just about everywhere. Security was defiantly tighter then it was at the last auction.

Neon moved forward to call the elevator before stepping back to her place between myself and Chrollo. "What I said, I heard from someone else..." She suddenly spoke.

"What?" Although he asked a question, his expression was unmoving, similar to my own whenever Neon looked somewhere that wasn't either of us.

"A fortune teller on TV said it when I was little." She paused, before continuing. "You know, what I said before about the purpose of the fortunes is to make living people happy." She explained, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

We were now both looking towards the blue haired girl, Chrollo allowed a small smile to appear on his lips to make his charade all the more believable. "Oh?"

"And so, the fortune teller tried really hard to give negative fortunes to people." How... Smart... To give negative fortunes in order to force people to try and make their lives better.

Chrollo tilted his head more towards Neon, seemly more interested in what she had to say. "Negative?"

"You see, that way, people would make an effort to improve their lives and to avoided misfortune. Back then, I can remember being really inspired by how true that was." With every word she spoke, she became more and more passionate about what she was talking about. She knows what she wants in life, that's something I can respect her for.

"That's when I decided that I would be a fortune teller." She beamed.

I looked down on her with a small smile. "Thank you for sharing with us, Neon."

"Of course!" She grinned, looking between Chrollo and I.

The elevator sounded making all of us look forward towards it, once it opened we entered the lift one by one. The material used to make it was glass, from the floor we were currently stationed on, the view was absolutely stunning.

It was like I was looking at the sky only it was on the ground rather than above me. The building were all beautifully lit up with all sorts of coloured lights and the cars below looked like ants, scurrying across the pavement. Being so high in the sky was an amazing feeling, it was as though you were better than all others, the greatest in the world looking down on all those who are weaker than you. Absolutely spectacular.

I hadn't realised that the door had closed, nor that the elevator had started moving down. I was only knocked out of my thoughts when Neon Began to speak.
"A few years later... That fortune teller ended up getting arrested for fraud."

Arrested for doing good while people like us are free doing whatever we please. Don't you just adore the way the world works?

"Do you mean the galactic matron?" To my surprise, Chrollo actually knew what-or who-Neon was talking about. Am I as misinformed on what happens in the world as it would seem?

"That's the one!" Neon Confirmed.

He looked to her. "If memory serves, she didn't believe in the afterlife..." Chrollo's voice drifted slightly towards the end, his line of sight moving back to the elevator door.

"She didn't." She said, spinning on her. heels, turning from looking out the window, like me, to looking towards the door, like Chrollo. "and that's why I don't believe in it either." Belief is such a funny thing.

The elevator dinged twice, informing us that we were once again about to watch the elevator open and step onto the first floor of the cemetery building. As we stepped onto the floor Chrollo spoke. "Personally, I believe we have a soul."
