Hair twirling between fingers in restless spirals
chest rising and falling rapidly
red eyes staring wide at the screen
mind drawing a blank
no thoughts flashing
body sitting numbly on the couch
the pitch-black room
illuminated by the full moon
shining from the window
silence echoing in every corner
fear and anxiety at their peak
failure chuckling loudly
Why can't I do this?
