Sage Valmiki's epic

the sacred Ramayana

is beyond than a tale of

the loveable incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

The custom of the Raghu clan

has been running for ages

for it was about

never breaking promises

even if you have to give in to death

even if it meant embarking

on a fourteen-year exile with your

brother and wife

to keep your father's promise from

going down the drain.

That was the greatness

of Lord Sri Ram

who was not just the

the devotee of his father, King Dashrath

the pride of his three brothers

the loving husband of Sita

he was the purest form of humility

with an ocean of great qualities

who the people of Ayodhya

adored for his courageousness.

He was the supreme being in honour

a perfect embodiment of

virtue and chivalry

morality and truth

righteousness and generosity.

He was Maryada Purshottam.
