I've lived in many houses and buildings
but nothing compares to the four walls
that embraced me with warmth when they're shivering
that fed me the last bite
making I don't fall asleep hungry
that held my hand in comfort
while in fear of starting a new life in a different world.
Nothing compares to the four walls I call arms
that pushed me to learn
nourished me to grow
encouraged me to fly.
The four walls
two of my mother
two of my father
who will be there unconditionally
even if the world falls apart.
