As K'Kruhk and Eri were prisoners of Mordred Jahl, the fallen Jedi took satisfaction in the scene that lay before him. K'Kruhk looked upon both Eri and Mordred with sadness and regret in his eyes.
Mordred: It's time, K'Kruhk. It's time you and your....Padawan face the sins of your past.
With that, Mordred activates his Memory Walk Power which projects the past. In this memory, a group of Jedi Knights led by Jedi Master Dooku stood above a hill overlooking a Mandalorian Camp. Among the Jedi was a younger K'Kruhk and an even younger Mordred.
K'Kruhk(Past): Remember what I taught you, Mordred. Stay close to me.
Mordred(Past): Yes, master.
As the past versions of K'Kruhk and Mordred prepared for battle, Dooku addresses the Mandalorians.
Dooku: Mandalorians, I am Master Dooku. You stand accused of murder. Surrender now and we will ensure that you will be treated fairly.
At this point, Komari Vosa: Dooku's Jedi apprentice stepped in.
Komari: But fight us, and we will bring swift justice!
At that point, the Mandalorians fired upon the Jedi. Dooku led the Jedi in a battle against the Mandalorians. Eri watched as her master cut down Mandalorian warriors with his Padawn.
Mordred: I idolized my Master. I thought him to be the greatest Jedi in the Galaxy. Oh how wrong I was.
The three watched as the Jedi Strike Force fought against the Mandalorians. During the chaos, Mordred began chasing after a Mandalorian Supercommando.
Mordred(Past): He's mine, Master!
K'Kruhk(Past): Mordred, wait!
K'Kruhk was unable to chase after his Padawan as he was surrounded by Mandalorian Supercommandos. Once K'Kruhk saw an opening, K'Kruhk separated from the strike force and chased after Mordred. The chase leads K'Kruhk to the edge of a waterfall. Mordred was deflecting blaster shots from the Mandalorian who was using a jetpack.
K'Kruhk(Past): Mordred!
As K'Kruhk called out to his Padawan, Mordred glanced over to his master. In that moment of hesitation, the Mandalorian Supercommando launches a rocket from his jetpack. Mordred was slow to react as the rocket explodes on the ledge he was standing. As Mordred was lost in the smoke, K'Kruhk retaliates by throwing his Lightsaber at the Mandalorian, decapitating him. K'Kruhk then rushes to the ledge to find only Mordred's Lightsaber.
K'Kruhk(Past): No.....
Mordred: And that was where my long descent into darkness began. All it took was a little drop.
K'Kruhk watched his past self look below the waterfall. He watched as he fell to his knees. He remembered all the pain he felt. K'Kruhk relived that pain once more as he glanced over to his fallen apprentice. As for Eri, she had no idea what to make of it.
Mordred: That was only the beginning, K'Kruhk.
The memory then fades to a broken and bloodied Mordred dragging himself to shore. His robes were tattered and his mind was racing.
Mordred(Past): Master.....help me.....
Mordred got up and walked aimlessly into the jungle. K'Kruhk watched as his former apprentice endured the harsh forest. He watched Mordred fighting for his life as he used the Force to keep himself moving. He watched as Mordred endured hours upon hours of excruciating pain. Eri couldn't help but see herself in Mordred. As the events unfolded before their eyes, Mordred fell closer and closer to the darkness. However, Mordred remained within the Light. But as Mordred kept walking through the forest, he looked to the sky to see the Jedi Cruiser he arrived in leaving.
Mordred(Past): No....
Mordred had held out hope that his beloved Master would rescue him. Instead, he watched as he was essentially left to die. Mordred dropped to his knees and roars in rage. Mordred had given in to his anger and embraced the Dark Side. It was at that moment that Mordred Jahl had fallen to the Dark Side. As the memory fades, K'Kruhk was silent with shame.
Mordred: I was reborn that day. Surviving that hellhole proved to me just how weak the Jedi are. You could've stayed behind and saved me. Instead, you left me here to die. Now here you are with my....replacement.
K'Kruhk: I failed you, Mordred. I failed you in every sense of the word. I should've been there for you. You needed me and I failed you.
Eri was shocked to see her master so broken and so defeated. She could see that reliving the events of Galidraan had taken it's toll on the Jedi Master. It was the same kind of mental torment that she had suffered for all her life.
Mordred: Your failures made me what I am. My anger kept me alive. My hatred kept me alive. The Dark Side made me stronger. As I healed from my wounds, all I could think of was you. My hate for you kept me going. Killing you became my sole reason to keep going. I rose from my ruin....from my darkness to find myself....greater.....greater than I ever was before. Now the time has come to exact my revenge.
With that, Mordred activated his crimson Lightsaber, ready to execute both Jedi. However, Eri used the Force to retrieve her Lightsaber from the dead Entis. She then frees herself with her Lightsaber and manages to block an overhead strike from Mordred. Snapping out of his despair, K'Kruhk used the Force to retrieve his Lightsaber. As the Jedi reclaim their weapons, Mordred smirks to himself as he activates his second Lightsaber. In that moment, K'Kruhk and Eri prepared to duel Mordred once more in the snow covered forest of Galidraan.
