Aimee entered the stage holding a note in hand with the things she has to read out with a sad facial expression on her.

She stood there for a few minutes waiting for the song to finish, she walked forward on the last note and then stood still.

'I may not live to see our glory' Laurens sang well the ghost of Laurens.

'Alexander, there's a letter for you' Aimee spoke in her American accent and the cast was blown away by it since they have never heard it like that before.

'It's from John Laurens, I'll read it later' Lin spoke looking back a bit then looking out to the audience.

'But I will gladly join the fight' Laurens sang standing still with a smile on his face, facing the audience in front of him

'No, it's from his father' Aimee spoke 'his father' Lin questioned and stood up facing her.

'And when our children tell our story' Laurens sang in a softer voice.

'Will you read it for me' Lin asked with a smile.

'They'll tell the story of tonight' Laurens sang and looked towards the other two.

'On Tuesday the 27th, my son was killed in a gunfight against British troops retreating in South Carolina' Lin put his head down in tears.

'The war was already over. As you know, John dreamed of emancipating and recruiting 3000 men for the first all-black military regiment. His dream of freedom for these men dies with him' Aimee spoke then looked at Lin who was looking at Laurens.

'Tomorrow there'll be more of us' Laurens sang.

'Alexander, are you alright' Aimee spoke then put her hand on his because she was feeling pain right now but couldn't show it.

'I have so much work to do' Lin spoke and walked off somewhere leading Aimee to walk off the stage, for all the cast who was watching knew she could have been acting but it wasn't acting the pain and sorrow was real, she was going to tell the ensemble during the break and the cast after the show.

She left the stage and walked up the stairs backstage and went left for her next part, all she wanted to do was cry but she couldn't right now, the only part she could be in the second part of the show, that's when she can show her true utter sorrow that she has to hide from everyone else.

Lucky for one of the songs in the second act both Aimee's and Lin's head mics are cut off for one bit so while their acting on stage they can talk about it but it might change the way it roles, but for now she had to hide it.
