The Final Hero (Zelda AU) (Complete)

The World Above

Up above: December 22nd

As Liz, Link, and Zelda disappeared down the elevator, Aryll looked worried and asked Paya, "Do you think it will be too much for her?"

Paya scoffed, "Of course it will be. It is for everyone up here who goes down but she is not going to freak like you did when you learned your boyfriend was not technically from your definition of Earth."

"I DID NOT freak... I, just, acted very surprised. I wonder how Sheik's meeting is going..."

"Don't worry about it, he and Dad will figure out the problem with the blue flames. The population knew the risks when the centralized power source was created. It has more power but it's riskier."

A large crack that sounded like a gunshot came from outside the shop along with Revali's voice saying, "Ah crap, not today! Why did you have to backfire Medoh?!"

"Paya, did Ravioli name his car?"

"Um... yes?"

A knock came on the glass door and Aryll let Revali inside.

"Hey guys, wait why are we all set up in mission mode? And where are Link and Liz?"

"This might take a few minutes," Paya stated tiredly.

"Mipha's been kidnapped by CIA?"

"Yes," Aryll said looking exasperated while flipping through some files on Cia's actions.

"I'm going to go find her!"

A jingle came from the door (Aryll had forgotten to lock it) and Daruk came in, "Woah slow down Revali. What's the rush?"

"Mipha and Lana didn't show up at Urbosa's bookshop this morning and all evidence points to them being kidnapped by Cia," Paya said quickly.

"And I have to go find Mipha!" Revali said, trying to get Daruk to let go of his shoulders.

"Revali NO! You need to stay here and wait for orders from command!" Aryll said angrily.

"I agree with Aryll," Daruk said letting go of Revali's shoulders. "I'll go see Urbosa and tell her the situation while you stay here and help the girls come up with the location Lana and Mipha are at," and with that Daruk rushed out and shouted, "Rudania away we go!"

"DOES EVERYONE IN THIS CAFE NAME THEIR CARS!" Aryll shouted letting out her pent up stress and starting to cry. Paya went silently over to her and hugged her while Revali huffily threw himself into one of the booths.

The group ended up staying in the cafe for the night. Nobody slept, they were too busy trying to figure out where their friends went. On the morning of the twenty-third, a ringing finally started coming from one of the displays nearest to Revali and he answered. Liz showed up in the center of the room as a hologram.

"Hey guys I don't have much time, I had to break into the trains control center to use this and the Legend's Coffee is almost done with my latte and they always take,"

"Liz you're rambling again. What do you need?" Paya interrupted.

"Oh right, I just wanted to let you know that we are ok and that I have some new info that may or may not be useful."

"Just give us the info for Din's sake!" Revali said eagerly, "We've been working all night."

"So it turns out that Zelda's father is part of the Yiga. And they were talking about different people the other night. I think they were talking about who to kidnap."

Aryll perked up at this news and punched the info into one of the screens that showed brainstormed locations their friends could have been. A holographic map of the city showed up on one of the tables with several different locations on it, including Mipha and Lana's houses. She added Zelda's house and muttered to herself, "If they took this route," while drawing a red line with her finger.

"I wish I could help you some more but my chia tea latte is ready and that's really important because otherwise I'll end up going crazy and that's not,"

Revali laughed and said, "Go Liz, and hopefully that chia will have a ton of caffeine to stop you from rambling."

"Right," Liz mumbled, "Talk to you guys later and good luck." With that Liz's hologram disappeared and Aryll gasped, "I have it!"

"They are at Zelda's house," Revali said confidently, preparing to leave.

"Hold your noodles, Ravioli," Aryll said. "The Yiga want us to think that but Lana and Mipha are there but they are most likely somewhere else by now. They were probably there for a little bit but were moved to somewhere else. I think, for the moment, they are still up here but we need to go see Mrs. Mystic. I think knows something about the situation as her name is on file. It turns out she married a Sheikah that switched to the Yiga. It looks like she divorced him around the time he switched so she may know something or a particular location that the girls might be."

Paya picked up her car keys and said, "Then we don't have any time to waste, I'll start Orb up."

"Everyone does name their cars," Aryll mumbled.
