The train rushed into the station. There was a large sign that immediately attracted Zelda's attention. It said, "Kakariko Province, Kakariko City" on a giant red Sheikah eye.
"Is this the capital?" Zelda asked.
"No. The capital is Lorule City; there are just several Sheikah bases throughout the country and this is the main one. I think this city is under Paris," Link explained.
"Wait, We traveled by train, to Paris, from San Diego, in 12 hours! But that's how long it takes to get to Paris by plane!"
"Our trains are incredibly fast," Liz said. "Seeing as we don't have planes, for obvious reasons, we had to find a way to make our trains go faster. Robbie discovered a substance called blue flame, about 10 years ago, and he was able to adapt it to be used for fuel. It's used by Lorule as a power source. Unfortunately, for some reason the flame is going out. Sheik is helping Robbie to figure out how to keep it from going out."
"Speaking of Sheik, where is he? He's supposed to meet us here," Link said.
"Someone called?"
The three people turned around to see their black haired friend and a woman. Zelda took note of his changes, pointy ears like the rest of the group and red eyes like Liz just more burgundy, based on this she decided he must also be Sheikah.
"Commander!" Link exclaimed. He got down on one knee while Liz remained standing, probably a rank thing Zelda concluded.
"Link! You know I told you that that wasn't necessary in public spaces. Only in front of important people, who think that this is necessary," Impa stated exasperated.
"Yes ma'am," Link said bashfully while rising up.
Impa turned to Zelda and Zelda was able to get a good look at her. She was wearing a tan shrug over a navy turtleneck dress. She also had red earrings in the shape of the eye symbol. Her hair was white and half of it was up in a bun. Zelda thought she was a very well put together woman.
"Hello you must be Zelda. We have much to discuss."
Zelda was kind of in awe of Impa, so she just said quietly, "Erm, yes... I think?"
Impa just laughed and said, "Sweetie there's no need to be nervous, I promise I'm not as menacing as I look, except to my enemies."
If anyone else had said this Zelda would have been put more on her guard but when Impa said it there was such merriment that she couldn't help but be at ease. The group, of five now, stated walking up the stairs to the world that Zelda had only heard about until this point. What she saw shocked her. She had been imagining a cavelike structure but it was more like the world above, with large skyscrapers and all of the different races were bustling around, but there seemed to be more of the Sheikah than anyone else. The holographic sky was very realistic and if you didn't know it wasn't real you wouldn't have been able to tell. The cars went very fast, the lowest speed limit being sixty while the fastest was one-hundred-and-fifty. Zelda concluded they were probably powered by the same fuel the trains were.
"Welcome, to Kakariko City, Lorule," Sheik said with an over exaggerated flourish that made Impa laugh and roll her eyes, "Sheik just get in the car."
"Yes boss," Sheik said cheerfully and opened the door to what looked like a black SUV. Zelda was in awe at the inside of the car. It had tinted glass between the driver and the passengers. The passenger rows were what made the car extra strange. There were 2 rows of seats facing each other with a holographic map in the center on a coffee table looking thing. Impa told Liz to sit up front with the driver and the rest of the party in the back.
"So have Link and Liz explain your incarnation to you?" Impa asked Zelda. Zelda shook her head so Impa pressed a few buttons on the display and models of all the species showed up.
Sheik began to explain both the history of Lorule and the reincarnations, "There are 3 different species that are native down here, the Zora, Gorons, and Rito. They were forced down here thousands of years ago by a king by the name of Carl XXV. This man married the daughter of Zelda CCCIII and the Hero of the Wild, their stories have become legends through the thousands of years that have passed. The Queen and Hero advised their daughter not to marry the man as they believed he did not actually love her but her inheritance. No one knows why the girl married the man or if she truly loved him but she did it despite her parents warnings. The Queen and Hero both died within the same year so Carl helped Lily take over the kingdom. Lily fell sick and died so Carl took over. Carl attempted to wipe out the Rito, Zora, and Gorons to expand his kingdom so they ended up sailing the sea to the continent you know as North America. The natives there told of a cave with a flower fountain inside of it and there was said to be a spirit inside of it named Cotera. Several scouts were sent to find this fairy but only one returned. All we know of the scout is her gender and race, everything else has been lost to the mists of time. She was one of the Sheikah that helped the races escape. The woman told of a fairy fountain like the ones back home in Hyrule. The fairy was a cousin of the ones in Hyrule, or something like that, and needed help to find her sisters. In return, Coreta and her sisters would create a safe place for the races to move. Apparently the great fairy wanted her to go alone and free her sisters so she was given the go ahead to find the fairies. She succeeded but was ambushed on the way back and, being unwilling to fight whoever attacked her, she died of her wounds back at the camp. The Sheikah was able to tell the leader at the time, who was lost to time as well, to talk to the fairy, Coreta, about the location of the safe area the races wanted. The leader was allowed to decide the location of the safe haven. Obviously, the leader chose underground. The fairies seemed to have added an extra feature to Lorule, though. Anyone who wasn't born underground or was part of the first party's form would change to the person they were reincarnated as. The Shikah have learned to manipulate this magic so that agents don't have to work through the hassle of disguising themselves when they go above ground. That is the reason Liz's and I's form can change to look human when we go up. Your and Links' form, however, are your reincarnations. It seems that you are a princess with the blood of the goddess, the one to seal away Ganon."
Zelda sat for a few moments soaking it all in and stammered out, "I'm... a, er, a princess?" "Yeah right. I'm the least princessy person ever."
Link smirked and said, "Yep, Princess." "I mean it makes sense. She always held herself high and was sweet to everyone. Almost as if she had that kind of training."
"I'm never gonna escape that nickname am I?" Zelda said, trying to bring light to the situation.
"Nope." Link said laughing slightly
Impa, who had been scrolling on what seemed to be the equivalent of a phone, looked up and said, "Aha, we're here perfect timing you guys!"
Zelda looked out the window and saw a building with reflective panels covering the entire thing. It had two sides that jutted out while the center was rounded inward like a half circle. There was the red eye symbol in the front and there were several people going in and out.
Liz opened the door and said, "Welcome to the Central Command of the Sheikah or CCS."
