Chapter 3

(Y/n)'s pov

"(Y/n) after school do you want to go meet the neighbors? I've heard that they have a son near your age and a daughter a year younger than you!" My mom suggested. I smiled while fiishing my pancakes. "Sounds like a plan, mommy!

At school...

I walked into the class and took my seat. The boy from yesterday was already there. "Touya." He said out of the blue.

"Huh?"
"You herd me, I'm Touya, Touya Todoroki."
"I'm (Y/n) (L/n). Nice to meet ya."
"I know. "
"Oh yeah. Sorry. "
"It's okay. I just... haven't been in a good mood lately. "
"If you don't mind me asking, what about? "
"You wouldn't understand. "
"I might understand, you don't know. "
"Fine, I'll just... I'll tell you that at lunch. "
"Okay!"

It looked like we were on our way to becoming friends! I was happy. The happiest I've been in a while.

"Hey, (Y/n) you wanna play with us?!" A girl asked. "Shure! You're Hoshi, right?" I asked. "Yup, that's me!" She said "so what shou-" Hoshi stopped im the middle of a sentence. I looked around the room and saw nothing that surprised me. "Ummm... Hoshi is everything okay?" I asked. She just turned away. "Never mind, I have some homework I need to do during recess, sorry. " Hoshi said. I was confused, she didn't get called when the teacher was telling us who had homework. Why would she lie? "Very brave of her to walk away from you." I turned around and saw Touya. "Yeah, I wonder why she did. " I said. Touya grabbed my hand and lead me towrds the end of the playground.

Touya's POV

"Touya, why are we here? " (Y/n) Asked me. I looked around and tried to find it. "I just like it here, that's all. " I answered her. "Found it! " I said. "Wait, found what?" (Y/n) asked. She leaned over my shoulder to look. "Whoa" it was an old something or other that was stuck n the ground. It started to rust and was sharp. I found that out the hard way. (Y/n) was about to touch it before I stopped her. "It's sharp and it'll hurt if you touch it." I warned her. (Y/n) Touched it anyway.

I winced ready for her so say "ow" but she never did. As a matter of fact, she didn't even flinch. 'Wait, she's not even bleeding? ' I thought to myself. "It's my quirk, it makes me able to heal myself and others. What's yours? " She asked. I hesitated a bit. "It's fire. I burn myself a bit when I use it but I can handle it. " I answered.

(Y/n) blinked twice. "If the burns're visible I can heal them." She suggested. "Really!?! You'd do that!?!" It was unbelievable for me to hear that. At the time I thought that if she kept healing me then maybe dad would start training with me again. Just that thought made me overjoyed.

"Yeah, of course I would, silly! And not just 'cause I wanna b a doctor when I grow up, but 'cause it's the right thing to do!" (Y/n) smiled. I still couldn't believe my ears, it was if she was the gateway to me becoming a hero. "What ti-" I was cutoff by the ringing of the recess bell. "Race ya to lunch!" (Y/n) said getting up and running. "Oh, it's on."

Maybe we are in the same world after all.
