chapter 14

Triplets are five for now.

You wake up to a crash downstairs.  Yoou swing your legs over the side of your bed and look at your clock. It read '02:30 AM'. You thought that was kinda strange because even though father trained Shouto way too much, he still has him go to bed remotely early.

Out of sheer curiosity and fear that one of your children might have been trying to get a midnight snack and sent some of the boxes of trailmix and goldfish flying onto their head.

You had just gotten downstairs to see that father was carrying some boxes of what you assumed to be paperwork and accidentally triped on Murasaki's stuffed bunny the was almost as tall as her. "Would you like me to help you out with that?" You asked him.

Your voice seemed to cut him off gaurd. "Yes, I would appreciate it if you helped."he responded.  You walked over and  helped pick up the paperwork. "I'm sorry if I woke you up." He told you. You smiled "It's fine. I should be the one apologizing, I forgot to tell Murasaki to clean up."  You said.

Come to think of it,  you and father never really had a one-on-one talk before. You've known him for so long and not once have ether of you even spoke for more than two seconds. You thought that was kinda weird because you both lived under the same roof.

You started to go back upstairs when you saw the triplets peeking at you from around the corner. I know you three are there." You said.  After you said that you heard the piter patter of tiny feet against the wood floor.

You sighed and headed off to bed.

~~~~Time skip~~~~

"Momma, momma, momma!! I got my quirk!!" You heard Shiro yell. It was the weekend and the triplets were playing outside with the frizbee that you got them for Christmas the year before. 

You ran over to where the triplets were standing.  Murasaki turnd to Ao and told him, "For once I'm glad he threw the frizbee too high for me to reach.". You didn't blame her, because the frizbee was on fire.  With white flames.

You picked Shiro up and spun around. "Your so cool!  See, told you that you wouldn't be quirkless." You told him. Murasaki and Ao had gotten their quirks just the day before and accidentally set one of the bushes in the backyard aflame with blue and purple flames. You could safly say that that caught everyone off gaurd.

In the present

"(Y/n), are you still working on OS?" Hohimi asks you. You found it hard to believe that little over 5 years ago she was referred by "The quirkless killer of Hosu". It was almost like she was a completely different person. "As a matter of fact,  I am. I'd love it if you helped me out with some of the studies." You tell her.

"I would be a great honor." She  says with a small bow. "Say, aren't you going to be late to pick up the triplets?"  Hoshimi reminds you. "Oh no, I almost forgot. I'll be back."  You tell her. You  had to walk down several flights of stairs before reaching the ground floor.  "Going to get the kids?" Daichi, one of your newer co workers,  asks.  "Yup! Be bak by 4."

After a few minutes  you finally reached the school.  You turn to look at the tree that you plated when you were in second grade.

"(Y/n) my hands hurrrt."
"That's because you didn't wear the gloves that the teachers gave yoooou"
"But I don't need gloves."
"If you wore the gloves,  your hands wouldn't hurt."

Just then the school bell rang. As if on cue Murasaki jumps on you from behind. "Looks like someone had a good day." You said.
Ao walks up to you after Murasaki lets go. "Momma, do you think we can visit Grammy after you're done with work?" He asks. You think about his suggestion for a few seconds. "Is it okay if we visit her tomorrow? I'm kinda busy today." You ask. Ao nods I but seems a bit disappointed.

Last but not least,  Shiro walks out the door.  "I'm ready to go." Shiro tells you.

~~~~Another Time Skip~~~~

You walk in the front door and take off your shoes. "Home so soon?" Fuyumi asks you. You laugh a bit."Yup! Daiki's covering my shift." You tell her.

The triplets go outside to play leaving you and Fuyumi to talk.

"So (Y/n), Shouto went to see mom yesterday." 
"Really? He did?"
"Yeah. He  went before you were home though."
"Oh. So he went right after school? "
"Yeah."

You're glad to hear that Shouto has seen mother after all these years. The past few times you went to visit her,  she seemed interested in what Shouto was up to and how he was doing in school. 

For some reason he always comes to you for help with his homework, even though you never even made it to high school so you struggle with the homework just as much if not more as he does. 

It also happens that Shouto has been trying to make up  time with the his niece and nephews in the past few weeks. Of course when shiro suggested that they all four play tag Shouto ended up accidentally pushing Ao into a pile of mud, but other than that they seemed to have a great time.

Meanwhile with the trio trying to teach Shouto to play uno...

"So if you play a blue seven,  I can play a blue card or a seven?" Shouto asks Mursaki. "Yes! That's the idea. And when you get down to one card, you say 'Uno' but you have to say it before anyone else or you have to take four more cards." Murasaki tells him.

Shouto seems to understand so far. They already discussed the black cards and the reverses along with the other stuff. "Okay, I'm ready to give it a try."

~~~~After the game of uno~~~~

"I won!!" Murasaki yells loud enough for you and Fuyumi to hear. "And it just so happens that dinner's ready." Fuyumi said as she lays some bowls of ramen out in front of the four. "I'll go get father. " you tell them. 

Once you get to the door of father's work office you knock on the door. "Father, dinner's finned." You tell h him. "Okay, I'll be down soon." You hear from the other side. 

You go back downstairs to  see that Murasaki has fallen asleep in Shouto's lap. You smile at the sight.

Murasaki can eat quickly and by quickly, I mean in under three minutes. It terrified you at first but you remember always trying to eat faster than Touya back in fourth grade so you could pick which game to play first.

You walk over to shouto and put your hands on his shoulder. "Can you put her to bed if she's not awake by 8?" You ask him. Shouto nods in response. After five minutes you, Fuyumi, Shouto, Shiro and Ao are finished.  Father came down two minutes before you finished.

After you finish cleaning up dinner, you get ready for bed, and say good night to your boys. As expected Murasaki is still fast asleep.

'Today was a good day. A good day indeed.'

1241 words in the chapter.  Waaaay longer than I thought it would be. Hope it's not too long.
I've aparetly been exposed to the big C so I can't go to school in person.  It used to be special to not go to school.  Seriously,  I have to be cursed.
