Chapter 23

You are staying late at work. Why? Because you want, no, NEED to find out who that was yesterday. You know that his villain alliance is 'Dabi', but other than that, you harly know anything else about the man. His voice was familiar, but you know that you've never heard it before. He spoke as if you knew him from somewhere. You lean back in your chair. "Who are you?" You say aloud. You hear footsteps outside your office. "Oh, so you're still here Ms (L/n)? " Asks one of the newer employers, Takemi. "Yup. And please call me (Y/n)." You tell them.

Takemi nods. "Well if you need anything, remember that I'm just a few doors down to the left." Takemi tells you as they walk off. You sigh as you get back to work. After a few long minutes, you find a website that shows the most wanted criminals around Japan, and of course, he was there. It had a few things about him on there, such as his height, estimated age, eye color, hair color, and his quirk, 'Blue flames'. Where have you seen those before?

You look at the clock. '09:45' is what it read. "I should get going. I already missed dinner, I don't wanna miss talk to Fuyumi before she goes to sleep. " You whisper to yourself. Once you are out of your office, you glance to your left to make sure that Takemi is still there. The door to their office is indeed, open. Telling you that they're still here. You lock your door and head across the building. You check out and take the bus to go home.

"Fuyumi I'm home. " You say as you walk in the front door. As you take off your shoes, you hear Fuyumi sigh from the next room over. "(Y/n), you almost never have me pick up the triplets from school. What was so important at work to make you stay five hours past your work hours?" Fuyumi asks you.

You can tell that Fuyumi's upset, mainly because of the fact that she turned the corner to talk to you, but she still has her head turned away from you. "I'm sorry, it's just that since yesterday's search in Daika city, I've had something on my mind. It won't happen again, I promise." You apologize. Fuyumi sighs again. "Well, I guess that if you aren't just looking into one of Hohimi's conspiracy theories it's okay. Just don't go doing this annually, the triplets already don't have Touya in their lives. " Fuyumi responds.

You nod to let her know that you understand. "Alrightie then, I'm going to head off to bed now. Good night, Fuyumi." You say before heading to the stairs. "Good night (Y/n). Sleep Well." Fuyumi says back. "I will. " you respond.

After you reach your room, you stop in front of your desk, on your desk you have a picture of you and Touya from when the two of you were kids. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say that you're that villain that I've been looking into recently." You say to the picture, looking at Touya in specific.

You sigh before getting ready for bed

You wake up to the sound of your phone buzzing. You pick it up and pray that it isn't Hohimi calling you about the sink again. "Hello, (Y/n) it's Hohimi. The sink won't shut off aga-oh wait never mind, Mai fixed it. Bye." Hohimi says before hanging up. 'What the?' You think to yourself. When Shiro was younger he would wake you up in the middle of the night and tell you that Ao was snoring, but this was one interaction that was weirder than that.

You get out of bed and check the calendar that Murasaki gave you for your birthday last year. 'Oh whadda know, I have a day off. That should be nice. ' You think to yourself. You then head downstairs to make breakfast for yourself.

"So what you're trying to tell me that my favorite show of all time was canceled so that th UA sports festival could air?"
"Yeah pretty much."

Natsuo,Fuyumi and, you were sitting on the couch watching the sports festival while Touya was pacing back and forth while he complained about how his favorite show was delayed for one week. "Why don't they delay the SPORTS FESTIVAL for a change? Instead of del-" Fuyumi cut him off. "Can you please complain during the commercials?" She suggested.

Touya was quick to shut her down. "I won't have any TIME to complain during the COMMERCIALS, and All of you will be useing the bathroom so I won't have anyone to complain TO."

"But Natsu's not potty trained yet, and his behind's not big enough for him to sit on it without him falling in, so he can't! You can complain to him!" Fuyumi responded. Natsuo turned his head at the soud of his name.

"But Natsu's a BABY.
"He's not a baby, he's three!"
"Still a baby to me!"
"But he knows his name!"
"So? Just because he knows his name, that doesn't mean that he's not a baby!"
"But he's very smart!"

Touya started to mutter complaints under his breath instead from then on. Truth be told, you thought that was far more creepy than his outright screaming his complaints. "Don't you wanna sit down, Touya? " you asked him. "Fiiiiine." Touya responded. He sat down next to you and, Natsuo who was sitting in your lap.

After a while, the sports festival was done and Fuyumi went off to bed. "Good night." She said before heading off. "Good night." You and Touya respoded in unison. The two of you exchange glances. "We need to not do that. " Touya said with a small laugh. "Hmm?" Was all you responded with.

There was a moment of silence before the two of you broke into a random fit of laughter. "Okay, okay. Why was that funny?" You asked as you tried to not start laughing again. "I dunno, but it was." Touya awnsered, still laughing a little. You waited for Touya to stop laughing.

After a while he finally calmed down. "You done, Touya?" You asked. "I think so. Say, (Y/n), remember when you told me that you thought I could be the best hero?" Touya said. You nodded. "What about it?" You asked. Touya shifted in his seat. "Well... are you sure that you aren't going to have second thoughts about that? Because dad has had second thoughts about the whole situation and... You know." He asked. You grabbed his cheeks. "I would never, ever have second thoughts. I know that you get hurt when you use your quirk, but that's why I'm here! I promise to help you no matter what, okay?" You said. There was a solid minute of silence.

"Okay."
