Back To You ( Touya Todoroki x Reader )

Chapter 7

(Y/n)'s POV

It was only a few months since the Todorokis invited mom and I over for dinner when I found out that Touya's baby brother would be born! I couldn't get it out of my head that,  Touya had been acting... weird lately.  It was almost like he wasn't satisfied with himself yet. He hadn't been smiling as much as he used to ether.

"Hey Touya, guess what?!" I said.  We had just gotten back from school and we where hanging out at my house.  "What?" Touya asked. I  stood up and went to the kitchen counter to grab a drawing of him,  Fuyumi and I. "Close your eyes!" I told him.  He did as he was told and covered his eyes with his hands.

I walked over to the table and put the drawing down.  "Can I open my eyes now (y/n)?" He asked.  "Yup!" I said. He uncovered his eyes and almost as soon as he loked at the drawing his jaw dropped.  "Did you draw this!? It looks so good! " he asked.  I laughed a bit.  "Mmhm! I drew it without help ether!" I told him.

"Is it for me?" Touya asked as he turned to look at me.  I nodded. Before I could say anything else.  "Thank you so much. This means a lot to me,  (Y/n)."

Touya's POV

When I got home from (Y/n)'s  place I was still clutching the drawing.  I had just stepped in the door and yelled for mom. There wasn't any answer expect for Fuyumi running towards me.  "Touya Touya, the baby's coming so daddy and mommy are at the hospital!!" Fuyumi yelled. I was shook. "But wasn't the baby supposed to come three days ago!?!?" I yelled in response. I was starting to panic and Fuyumi could tell.

Fuyumi walked up to me and gave me a hug. "Do ya think that we should tell (Y/n)'s mommy?" Fuyumi asked. I blinked twice before I answered.  "Yeah, but doesn't (Y/n)'s mom work a at the hospital?" I asked.  "Oh." 

I was panicking even more.  "Let's just leave a note to mom and dad,  then we can go to (Y/n)'s house for the night." I told Fuyumi.  She nodded and ran up to her room to get a piece of paper and a pen. A minute later she was back down. I started to write.

Mom and dad,  Fuyumi and I are at (Y/n)'s house. We'll be there if you need us.                                                                          -Touya

As soon as I finished writing I grabbed Fuyumi's wrist and scurried over to (Y/n)'s house.  A long the way Fuyumi stumbled a few times but we kept going.  Our houses aren't that far apart but it seemed like they were a mile away when we were little.

After what seemed like a hour we got to (Y/n)'s front porch.  Fuyumi knocked on the door.  I saw (Y/n) peek through the Window before she opened the door.

"Touya, why are you back?" She asked. I  about to say something before Fuyum interrupted me.  "The Baby's commin' an Touya wants to know if we can stay til mommy an daddy come home.  Can we? " Fuyumi asked.  (Y/n)'s Eyes widened.  "Ye-yeah, of course come in." She told us. As almost on cue Fuyumi bolted inside and turned the corner.  "WHERE'S THE KITCHEN!?" Fuyumi asked.  "Go straight from where you are,  then turn left!" (Y/n) yelled in response. 

I soon followed Fuyumi and (Y/n) locked the door. (Y/n) warmed up some pre-made ramen for dinner and once we ate I realized Fuyumi and I didn't pack pajamas so we had to go back.  (Y/n) made Fuyumi have pepper spray just in case.  When we got back to (Y/n)'s a house she already had two spare beds set up in her room. Finally,  the three of us got ready for bed.

I was just about to fall asleep when I heard (Y/n) whimper slightly. I tried to tell myself that it was nothing but she whimpered again.  "(Y/n), are you okay?" I asked.  The sound of my voice seemed to make her jolt. "I'm okay. I just miss my daddy. " She responded.  Truth be told,  I never HAD seen her dad and I starting to wonder where he was. "If ya don't mind me asking, where is your dad?" I asked.  (Y/n) turned her head to look at me. "Mommy said Daddy's in heaven. He left just last year,  Touya." (Y/n) told me.  She started to tear up, so I ran over to her. "Don't leve me too Touya, not ever." She told me. "I won't,  I promise. I will stay with you forever and ever,  you'll see."

At that moment I realized just how fragile she was and yet how strong she was just for being able to smile after loosing her dad.i admired her and I still do, but there vee as something about that moment that awakened something in me.

That feeling made feel fuzzy and a bit nervous,  abd I had felt like that many many times before and it just wouldn't go away I still have that feeling for her to this day.

"(Y/n)... I think,  I like you more than a friend."

I wish I had said more but just by saying that took a ton of weight off my chest.  In the en moment I waished I hadn't said that at all, but my life would have been so much worse if I hadn't. 

I only wish I had kept my promise to her.

953 words, wow, I'm getting good at this.  I have the story in my head so I know the jist of w what's gonna happen.  I ain't gonna say what,  but be warned,  the next few chapters are going to be a tad bit unexpected.  (Yiis I know that Touya's cannon age of "death" was 13 but we gonna change it to 14 for plot purposes) I'm really happy that people are actually reading my work,  thank you so much.
