Couple's Quarrel

You wait for AJ to arrive at the F.E.A.S.T center. You had just saved him from a mugging, and you hope he's safe and on his way still.

You're helping two homeless people set up a game of chess at their table. Upon seeing AJ enter the building, you excuse yourself and walk up to AJ.

You: Hey, AJ! You made it!

AJ: Hey, Y/N! Sorry I'm late, man.

You: Aw, no-no. I'm just glad you're here.

AJ: Alright, so um...what can I do to help?

You: Uh, I think Y/A/N could use some help in the kitchen. Follow me.

AJ nods and follows you to the kitchen. There, your aunt is moving a platter of sandwiches to another table. She turns to you,

You: Hey, Y/A/N. I gotta take off, but, uh...I brought some help for you.

AJ smiles as he walks up to your aunt.

Aunt: Hey, AJ. Nice to see you. Well, grab an apron, wash your hands, and I'll show you around.

AJ nods and goes over to grab an apron. Your aunt begins speaking to you.

Aunt: And you? Where are you off too?

You: I'm actually going to meet up with Clementine at her place...

Your aunt's eyes widen, and a smile grows on her face of the thought of you two possibly together again.

You: Just work talk. I'm helping her...do a story for the New York Times.

Your aunt rolls her eyes.

Aunt: Whatever you say, dear.

You laugh and shake your head, then leave the kitchen.

You arrive at Clementine's apartment in SoHo. She had called you earlier in the day and invited you to have dinner and discuss her findings. She sounded very eager to share what she discovered.

You knock on her door, and she answers it soon after.

Clementine: Come on in.

You: Thank you.

You walk in and look around. It looks about the same since you've last came here, which was over six months ago.

Clementine: I'm surprised you actually came through the door and not the window this time.

You: I have a newfound appreciation for doors. One of mankind's greatest creations.

You look at the coffee table and see her Danville Braves hat. You couldn't believe she still has it.

You: Wow, you still have your hat?

Clementine: Of course I do. I may not wear it all the time, but it's still a part of me.

You nod, and Clementine goes into the kitchen and grabs two plates of food. She had already prepared chicken curry.

You: You cooked already? You should've had me come earlier and I would've made something. 

Clementine places the plates on the table.

Clementine: The last time you cooked here, my fire alarm went off.

You: Hey, I followed Gordon Ramsay's instructions very clearly.

The both of you laugh and then sit at the table. The two of you begin eating, and you decide to tell her about Lee before she can discuss her findings.
