Chapter 6

Chapter 6, Rejuvenation

I ran to the park as fast as I can. While running, I called Jason.

"Wassup?" He asked.

"Mee- me a- th- pa-" I yelled.

"Your breaking up, I can't hear you."

"Park! Park!" I yelled. I turned the final corner and reached the park.

This was it... I ran as fast as I can up the hill. I looked at the swings and saw her..

"Trix?" I calmy asked. She was resting on the swings, being pushed by the mighty winds. My hoodie was flapping uncontrollably and leaves were being thrown across the park.  "Trix, I think we need to go. Jason just texted me saying there's a storm near."

She didn't respond. Her body was just swaying side-to-side on the swings.  After about 3 minutes of complete silence, she started singing...

   So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

   Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

I felt horrible for her...I didn't know what to do.

Buzz Buzz

•Ryan, I'm coming to get you and Trix, there's a thunder storm in this area, a tornado will happen.

My eyes widened in horror. "Trix we gotta go, it's a tornado in this area. Come on."

"I...I can't."

BOOM!

A lightning strike bolted through the sky, causing sonic waves to echo in the air. The clouds slowly turned to a deadly black and the city sirens came on.

I was terrified but Trix didn't move.  "Trix! We gotta go!" I ran towards her and pulled her off the swings.

She then slowly pointed to the sky. "Look."

A tornado was forming in the area, mainly on the other side of the park. I dragged her down the hill and luckily Jason pulled in the drive way.

"Come on!!" He yelled. He look as if he was made of fear. His body trembled and his voice cracked on certain words.

I finally reached the car and Trix got in.

"Drive! Drive!"

Jason out the keys in the car and turned the ignition but the car didn't come on. He kept trying and trying but it wouldn't start.

"What's wrong!?" I yelled

"I don't know, it just won't start!" Jason got out the car and opened the hood. He quickly closed it and jumped in the car.

"The engine-" Jason was cut off.

"Look...!" Trix yelled. I guess the storm brought her back to life.

Over the horizon came the tornado... It was heading straight for us.

"Jason...Trix...I love you guys." I burst into tears. The tornado ran over the car. It instantly shattered the windows and made a loud shrieking noise in. We had no choice but to cover our ears or die from extreme noise.

Suddenly, Trix's door was ripped off and she was pulled out the car. Luckily for her reflexes, she grabbed onto the door.

"Ryan!!" Trix was crying and screaming.

I jumped in the back of the car and grab onto her arms, "I'm not letting you go!" I kept pulling and pulling but then I was being  sucked right out the car.

"Jason!!" He grabbed my legs and held me in the car.

"Ryan.." Trix said softly, "I will always love you...You're my brother, my bestie, everything to me." Trix let one of my hands go. "I'm going to see my mom. Have fun on this planet..."

"No!" I started to cry. "Trix!!" She let my other hand go and was pulled into the tornado. Jason held onto my leg and jumped back in the car, pulling me in.

"Trixx!!!" I yelled, I held my hand out the door, hoping she'll grab on. I was devastated, my heart died inside me.

The tornado moved over the car and into the city. It was over...and I lost her. My best friend from youth. Is gone... Why!!
