"Mr. Jason?" Doctor Thompson asked me.

"Yes? Is he going to be al-"

She held up her finger and smiled, "He's alright, we got the bullet safely out his head. It was a miracle that it didn't go through his brain, if his skull wasn't so thick he would have died on the scene."

I sighed in relief and then a little bit of happiness swirled inside of me, "he does have a big head haha."

"Oh, he can also hear you as well, just not respond yet. His body is uhhh, resting up from the world."

"Alright." I said laughing.

"Ok Mr. Jason, I will be heading out. Press the button on his chair in case of any emergencies. Ok? Oh, and how is your shoulder?" She asked half way to the door.

"Ok, I will and its much better, thank you." I sat there looking at Ryan while she went out. I then got up and went closer to him and placed my hand on the bed.

"Ryan...I...If you can hear me, please do something?" I waited. A few minutes passed and nothing happened. "That's alright I-"

He hand twitched a little bit...

I smiled in joy and grab this hand, "Ryan. I love you." I sat down on his bed with him, "You just don't know...You've helped me in so many ways unimaginable. Ways my dad couldn't do, my mom, nor my sister. I've experienced life and found out the meaning of love."

Tears started to roll down his eyes.

As I seen that, my voice changed drastically. It didn't sound all manly, it sounded wet, like a dying seal."Ryan I don't want you to go."

I could feel the grip of his hands slowly getting tighter. "Please don't leave me. I need you." I cried and hugged him.

Knock Knock

In came some of our friends and family.

"How is he mate?" Josh asked.

I nodded and wiped the tears from my cheeks, still holding his hands. "He's ok, were just waiting for his body to wake up."

"That's good..." Precious said softly.

"Her I know you."josh said as he pointed at her.

"Huh?"

"You're the girl that threatened Ryan before her got shot.."

I turned towards them and stared in utter confusion, "What..?"

"I don't know what your talking about.." She said worriedly.

"Uhh yes yo-"

I cut Josh off, "What did you say?"

"Huh?"

"What did you say!" As I yelled the intercom came on for our room signaling us to be quiet.

"I told him to stay away from you and that we've been going out for about three years."

"None of that is true though.." Anger started to rage in me.

"So, I don't really care, he's pointless here. They'll just knock him up and kill him with medicine.."

"How could you be so heartless?" I wanted to punch her right in the jaw but I couldn't, she was a female.

"Because it's what they did to my uncle! He came in here from cancer and the doctors ended up saying that he was never able to talk again! He went silent, not saying anything! And the next week, they drugged his breakfast..."

"Oh my.." Josh said.

"Precious.."

"Stop," she said, "Ryan, I'm sorry for that day. I have to go now."

She quickly ran out the room with tears in her eyes.
