Chapter 10-Jason

Chapter 10, Jason's Discovery

Everyone stopped in their tracks because of the gunfire. They were confused and worried.

"Is anyone hurt?" The coach quickly yelled.

As everyone checked themselves, I noticed that Ryan was missing.

"Please god..."

I then started walking off towards the back of the school.. where the shot was fired.

"Where are you going Jason??"

"It came from over here coach."

"That doesn't mean you should go!"

I  ignored the coach and kept walking towards the outside class. As I approached the door, I seen  Sean standing in front the door spaceless.. His eyes were blank, like a zombie. He was motionless, swaying in the wind that blew over the school..

"Sean?" He turned his head and looked at me. It was easy to tell that he was crying...crying blood on the other hand. The tears were red and he looked as if he was on fire.

"I............"

Those were the only words he said before he burst out laughing.

"What's going on!" I asked.

All of a sudden, a stream of blood sipped from the crack beneath the door.

I ran towards the door but Sean pushed me out the way.

"No no noo!" He said laughing, "you gotta wait til the blood drains out. And you have about," he checked the watch on his wrist, "10 minutes!"

"Move Sean!" I grabbed him by the shirt and tossed him over my shoulders.

He landed with a loud thomp onto the rigged, dirt ground.

I stopped and turned. He was aiming the gun right at my chest. I started breathing slowly.

"Sean...give me the gun." I said slowly and calmly.

I started walking towards him holding my hand out.

"Stay back!"

I got close enough to grab hold of his hand and point the gun in the air. It started firing off in the air.

He kicked me in my gut and then kneed me in my face.

"Gah!" I yelled in pain. He then smashed the gun in my shoulder blade, dislocating it.

I got to admit, Sean was kicking my ass, but I'm not done though.  

I got up and rammed him through the door into the classroom. We landed in the pile of blood and I stared in horror.

"Ryan!!" Tears streamed down my eyes as I picked him up in my hands.

"Yea..it's over now." Ryan grabbed the gun. "I've did what I needed to do.."

"Why!!" Rage stormed inside of me like a hurricane.

He held the gun up and pulled the trigger...

Ending his own life. I stared in horror as his eyes slowly closed.

"Jason?.." Ryan forced out his mouth. I can tell he didn't have a lot of time left.

"I'm here Ryan...I'm Here." I pulled my phone out and call the police and ambulance.

"If...I don't make it..," his eyes closed and his breathing slowed.

"What is your emergency?" The lady said.

"Send an ambulance to Carvander High fast! Someone got shot and he's not responding!" The coach then ran into the classroom, almost throwing up at the sight.

"Oh god..." He said covering his mouth.

I sat there crying, holding Ryan close to me. "I'll never leave you" I whispered in his ear. "I love you Ryan.."

I soon heard the ambulance being directed by a group of innocent bystanders. The ER workers quickly got out the truck, "What happened?"

"The guy I'm holding in my lap got shot and him over there," I pointed at Sean, "he committed suicide."

"They went back to the truck and quickly brought the carriers back, lifting Sean onto one and waiting to out Ryan on the other.

"We need you to let him go...."

I loosened my grip and they lifted him onto the other and carried him to the truck. I stood up looking, covered in blood and tears.

"Jason...I don't know what you and Ryan have going on but...I think you should go with him... I'll call your parents and let them know." My coach said.

I nodded and hopped in the truck next to Ryan, holding his hand. "Were gonna make it...Please, hang in there."

The doors closed and we raced to the Emergency Room.
