I dread the tiredness gnawing at my bones,
blunt teeth slowly chewing fat and marrow
as the worm turns and the dream sea foams
and I stumble numb toward tomorrow.I wear corrosion in artery songs,
crystal slights the wrecking of eye and limb,
and dull days of unremarkable wrongs
haunt this blood as sweeter memories dim.
