My eyes felt heavy. I tried to move my body but to no avail. I managed to pull my eyes open, blinking a few times.
"Allie?"
I blinked a few more times and turned my head to the side. On the bed next to me, Ginny sat upright, looking at me. I shot up into a sitting position and looked around the room.
I was in the Hospital Wing.
I looked at the other beds beside us. Hermione, Ron and Neville were also put up in beds.
"Hey, you're up!" Harry stood from the seat he was sitting in and pulled me into a tight hug. "So, uh - I'm really sorry for what I did back there. From now on, I am going to listen to you every time you tell me to do something or every time you tell me to stay out. I am so sorry!"
I pulled out of his hug and gave him a stern look. "I feel like 'I told you so' isn't strong enough," I looked at him as if in deep thought. He looked a little frightened to hear what I was thinking.
"From now on, when you do something incredibly stupid, for example ignoring my instructions or advice, I shall say 'I informed you thusly'."
"Can't wait for that to start," Ginny muttered sarcastically.
"I informed you thusly," I started loudly, glaring at her. "That you should not have come to the Ministry. What I said would happen, happened. You're just lucky we all got away with our lives. However, you made sure that You-Know-Who will never get his hands on that Prophecy, a fact I applaud you for."
He grinned at that and went to say something more but was quickly cut off by a loud bang in the hallway outside.
A second later, the door burst open, and Lucy, Amelia, Angelina and Alicia barged through.
"Holy hell, you're awake!" Lucy ran forward and elbowed Harry off the bed, making him fall to the floor, and tackled me in a hug.
"Ow," I winced as her hair filled my mouth.
"Oh, shit. I'm sorry." She released me and the others came over to hug me too. "Wait, Harry. What about Padfoot?" I pulled away from the group hug they had me in to look at Harry.
Harry looked at me slightly confused. "Yeah - uh - he's fine. Why?" I closed my eyes and let out a heavy sigh.
He's OK.
I turned to the girls, giving them my full, undivided attention. "Okay. What did I miss?"
"What did you miss? All anyone's talking about is you guys and what you did and where you were. What happened?!" Angelina shrieked, her voice getting more and more high-pitched the more she spoke.
I turned to look at Ginny. "I passed out halfway through so you're going to have to tell me what exactly it is that we did so I can brag to my friends about it," I told her with a smirk.
And so, Ginny, along with Harry, Neville, Ron and Hermione, explained to me and the girls what had happened, and what had happened after I had passed out.
Seems I missed quite a bit. Voldemort at the Ministry.
That's like – Dumbledore-level dramatic entrance.
I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my chest and I could finally relax completely for the next few hours. Until the next problem came along and ruined it for us, that is.
As I lay in the hospital bed that night and chatted with Ginny, the door suddenly flew open once again and two identical redheads flew in. Their eyes landed on me and Ginny and they ran forward.
