As Firewhisky, Butterbeer and champagne flowed in endless amounts, Bill and Fleur's wedding was turning into the perfect day.

I had danced with all the girls on the dance floor, earning us suggestive looks from a lot of the younger guests, and judgemental looks from the older ones.

We had lost Lucy to a Veela a few hours ago, the two of them playing tonsil tennis by the back door.

Amelia had been chatted up by Weasley cousins left and right all night, who she was kind to but turned down one after the other all the same. She had then been rescued by Nym, who pulled her into conversation with herself and Sirius.

George and Angelina had been dancing non-stop for the last hour and Alicia and Lee were trading between being Ginny and Luna's dance partners.

I rested my back against Fred's chest, letting out a content sigh.

His arm came down and wrapped around me as he kept talking to Charlie. It seemed he didn't even realize he had moved his arm at all. I had noticed I did that a lot too.

Movements and touches had just become second nature by now.

"OI! Earth to Allie!" A hand appeared in front of my face, snapping their fingers. I shook my head and looked to my side to see Charlie, Amelia and Sirius smiling at me.

"Off in dreamland, were you?" Sirius asked amused.

"I'm sorry, what were you saying?" I laughed, running a hand through my hair. "I was just telling Charlie here how I -"

But I would never know what funny story Sirius had been telling Charlie Weasley, because at that moment a silver light shot through the canopy we were currently under, landing in the middle of the dancefloor. I tensed up as I recognized Kingsley's lynx Patronus.

His voice boomed loud and clear through the quiet party, his deep voice sending chills through me, his words freezing my blood entirely.

"The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming."

As his words registered everything seemed to happen in slow motion. I quickly drew my concealed wand from my pocket and turned to Sirius. "Find Harry," I urged him, "Keep him safe." He nodded, grabbing Amelia's arm and ran off.

Nothing seemed to happen for a few seconds until a scream put everyone into action.

I turned around and spotted dark, hooded figures wearing Death Eater masks appearing from all sides. In the chaos, many wedding guests Disapparated away.

I turned just in time to see Hermione, Ron and Harry Disapparate, hopefully to safety. I let out a breath. They got away.

That couldn't be said for the rest of us.

As the fight died down the Death Eaters were quick to declare to Mr Weasley why they were here.

We were lucky that Fred had gotten hair off a Muggle boy from the village close by and Harry had been disguised as a redhead all day, pretending to be a Weasley cousin.

So naturally, no guest had seen him all day. I was stood off on the far end of the garden, breathing heavily and trying to calm myself. Because I was also seen as a main target, I had prepared for this.

In the chaos of the fight, I ran off with two Death Eaters chasing me. I tossed a rock of instant Darkness Powder behind me, obscuring their vision and then quickly cast an invisibility charm I had taught myself at the beginning of the summer.

As the others were interrogated, I stood off to the side to avoid anyone bumping into me. My breath came out harder and faster as Rookwood stopped in front of the twins. He looked from one to the other, a smirk on his face.
