Lucas's POV
In less than an hour, the lawyers and my dad were assembled in the office at home. Everyone was tense, and the room was in pin-drop silence.
"Son, why don't you first give a rundown of what happened at the office, so we can plan the next course of action?"
Running my hands through my hair, which had become quite messy by now, I started, "When I reached the office, she was there sitting on my chair and creating a ruckus. I told her to get lost from my office, but she told me that she was the new owner of the company and showed me some papers. I checked them, they were authentic. We had a huge fight and she stormed out. I immediately left the office and held this meeting."
"Do you have a copy of the papers? We can legally check them if you want." Mr Parker, one of the best lawyers, suggested. I handed out the papers to him but as I said, the papers turned out to be authentic.
"Unfortunately, this means that you have a traitor in the company. It must be one of the people closest to you for them to get your sign on it without you reading it. Pull up the camera footage of yesterday."
We spent a few hours finding the exact footage. The traitor turned out to be my receptionist, Cara. I am going to strangle that girl whenever I see her.
"What do we do now?" I sighed, even though we knew who the traitor was, didn't mean that we had won.
"We can file a case of breaking company policy by plotting against the owner on Cara, and on Andrea, we can slam her with a case of obtaining the company illegally, and breaking into private property."
"But sir, there is still a problem, we are hired by the company, so technically we can't fight for you."
"Mr Parker, you take other cases as well. I will pay you your rate instead of your wage from the company."
"Okay, but Andrea can stop me from fighting your case as I'm an employee of the company. I would suggest, that my partner Eric Black fight this case."
"Sure. So let's meet in court tomorrow. We can't afford to lose. We must win at any cost."

The next day
I was rarely able to sleep the whole night. I kept tossing in my bed, thinking about today. I don't know what I would do if I lost today.
