Lucas's POV

I could feel Andrea's nervousness. I know it was very hard for her to face them. I held her hand and intertwined our fingers.

After a minute I could feel her getting back to a calm state. I then held the phone in such a way that Mom could see both of us.

"Why do I see Andrea? Do you even see her? Do you think I miss her?" Mom questioned.

"Mom, yes I see her, she's sitting beside me and I don't know if you miss her but I can assure you that she has been missing us a lot," I said looking at Andrea.

"Is she pregnant, did she marry some other person? And, what is she doing there in Goa?"Mom was not stopping her inquiry.

"Mom, we are not playing twenty questions. Would you like to talk with her?"

I wanted to know what impression mom had on Andrea, if they don't clear things out, no one can be happy.

"I would love to talk with her," mom said and smiled.

This is what my mom's nature was, she is a very understanding person. When you feel like crying, you can count on her. When you need someone to guide you, she can be the one to show you your way.

I gave the phone to Andrea. She tried to smile and took the phone.

"Hello, M- mom, how are you?" Andrea asked with hesitation.

When she said mom, my respect towards her mounted up.

"I'm good dear, how's it going there? You look so pretty, how many months?" Mom replied.

"Thank you, I'm doing good. Tomorrow my ninth month starts," Andrea said.

"Is it Lucas's baby?" Mom asked.

Though mom looked very calm I knew she was very nervous. But as I said she's not an intimidating person.

"Yes, I'm sorry mom-"

"I'm going to be a grandma! When's your due day? I'll drag my husband and visit you," mom gushed interrupting her

Andrea looked shocked, tears were flowing from her eyes. She was looking cute with those tears flowing and she trying to hold her laugh.

I took the phone from Andrea and asked "mom, do you accept Andrea?"

"I forgave her long back, we never know what they are going through. She did what she thought was right," mom said smiling.

"You're a very good person Mommy, I'm proud of you," I said genuinely.

"Mom, thank you," Andrea said sniffing.

"Let's keep in touch, let me know the due date," Mom said to Andrea.

Not only me, but she's also eager to see the baby.
