stella's pov:
"hey stells." i hear and turn to see ruel walking through my bedroom door.
"hi bub." i reply with a small smile and return back to my work.
"what are you doing?"
"studying." i reply and hear him sigh.
"take a break." he says and walks over to me. i feel him place kisses on my neck.
"cant ruel." i say simply.
"ok, do you want any help?" he asks.
"i'm fine."

i attempt to study for another thirty minutes before feeling tears start to spring in my eyes. it's the end of junior year, everything is so stressful. i gave up and rested my head on my desk.
"baby." ruel says, i hear him sit up on my bed. i didn't care if he saw me cry, with tears still leaving my eyes i walked over to my bed. "oh baby come here." he says and wraps his arms around me. i melted into him, and felt his hand rub my back. "what's going on?" he whispers.
"it's just so- so stressful ruel." i manage to get out. "tests everyday, essays, i just-" i let out. he pulls away to look at me. without a word he wiped my tears gently.
"i know, but you can't work yourself silly. that's making it worse. you got this, you're the smartest person i know. and then in a few weeks it'll all be over." he says with a small smile. i look down and wipe one last stray tear.
"i cant wait till it's over." i say to myself and hear ruel chuckle.
"come on, let's watch a movie or something." he says and cups my face. i nod and feel him place a kiss on my forehead.
i cuddled up next to him on my bed and couldn't help but feel so safe in his arms. he put on some random disney movie, i tried to stay focused but my eyes were heavy.
"go to sleep love, i'll be here when you wake up." i hear ruel whisper. i close my eyes and just before falling asleep i feel a pair of lips kiss my cheek. with that, i'm out like a light.
