"WE DO NOT KILL THE LIVING"
IN THE MORNING EVERYONE STILL FELT FAZED BY LAST NIGHT'S EVENTS.
Still in the late hours of the night, no one dared to sleep. The only people who could get sleep were Sophia and Carl. Everyone held worried on their shoulders, but the blonde who hadn't moved an inch at all, filled with grief. Andrea still held Amy close and kept her eyes on her dead sister. All anyone could do is feel sympathy for the woman, it wasn't like anyone could resurrect her back to life. There was a way... just not in the way Andrea wished for.
Lori was the first one to approach the grieving woman. She let Andrea hear her words, trying to offer comfort. It would be soon that the small group would start burying. The group all cared for Amy and would be gentle with her as they offered her a proper funeral. Not only for her, but the rest of the group they lost. Andrea wouldn't answer nor pay any attention to Lori. Riley saw from afar as Lori tried her best to somehow help.
Riley sat with Shane, Carol and Dale, watching over as the rest of the group slashes pick axes into the decaying skulls to then sort the bodies from people they knew to the ones who came without invitation. The smell of corpses and rotten flesh impales everyone's sense of smell, scrunching their noses in disgust. Not only was it excruciating, the smell of smoke also went on top of the list of the unpleasant.
"She still won't move?" Rick asks, approaching our small circle.
"She won't budge," Riley answered, feeling horrible at what Andrea must be in.
Riley looks over to Carol who is also processing her own losses. Carol looks at Riley too, making eye contact that's fragile. Riley gives her best warm smile in hopes it could comfort her in anyway. The woman smiles back and fiddles with her fingernails.
"She won't even talk to us. She's been there all night," Lori explains, "What do we do?"
"Can't just leave Amy like that. We need to deal with it, same as the others." Shane addresses, balling his hands together to make one big fist.
Everyone nods their heads in agreement, Amy is a time bomb that could put the group at risk. In any second the girl would turn and possibly cause another attack and let more people fall into the hands of the dead.
""I'll tell her how it is." Rick volunteers.
He approaches Andrea with caution. Andrea had her back turned, but when Rick is at arm's length, Andrea quickly pulls her gun out and aims it at the sheriff. Riley, Shane, and Lori get up on their feet and go in defense mode. Tension raises as Riley glares straight at Andrea waiting for her to lower the gun, Andrea meets the girl's eyes for a second but refocuses on Rick. Riley slowly began reaching for the gun in the back of the band of my pants, hovering over the weapon. She became equipped with a gun from Shane, he suggested to be armed at all times.
"I know how the safety works." Andrea declares.
Rick backs away slowly as he holds is hands up in defense, afraid she'll shoot. The sheriff apologizes with every step he takes back and when he was far enough from Andrea, she lowers her gun and turns her attention back to her sister.
