Note: This is one of the very few chapters that is from Liam's POV! This isn't gonna be a usual thing, it's just because i think that his POV made this chapter a little more interesting. Comment what you thought about his POV though, and tell me if you liked it and want more of the chapters to be from his POV or if you think that I should just stick to Karly. Thanks, hope you like the chapter! xoxo ~Kayla
Liam's POV~
I thought that she would like the car. Every other girl did.
But when she first laid eyes of my convertible, a car I've had for a little over a year and was too damn attached to to get rid of, she didn't gawk or gasp or look at me and say, "Gosh Liam how on earth did you pay for this?" kind of like I was expecting.
Instead she looked....scared.
Her blue eyes got all wide and she took a step back, staggering over her own feet like a frightened animal. But the fear quickly fanished from her face and her usual expression returned: Reserved, Guarded, and Irrational.
I turned around and rolled my eyes so that she couldn't see me. Did this girl find joy in anything? I got in the drivers seat and watched as she slid into the passengers. She was treating the sleek black leather like it was lava, trailing her pale fingers over the seat before she sat down and when she finnaly did, gasping.
"Karly?" I asked, all annoyance I'd felt towards her before gone. "Are you okay?"
She looked at me and kind of smiled. "Yeah. Fine. Just drive."
I gave her one last long, level look before shrugging and starting the engine. The car vroomed and I watched her out of the corner of my eye. She didn't move.
It was raining lightly, leaving the road slightly damp.
I was just about to press the gas and start backing out of Zayn's flat when Karly said, "Put your seat belt on."
I blinked, surprised, and looked over at her. She was staring at me, those blue eyes cutting through my flesh. "What?" I asked. She didn't seem exactly like the type of girl who was worried over something as stupid as car saftey.
"Just put it on."
The left corner of my mouth came up in a smirk. "Ooooohhhh," I cooed, "Is little Karly afraid that I'm gonna get hurt?" I reached over and flicked a strand of her dark blonde hair away.
"Put the damn belt on Liam or I swear to god I will get out of this car and demand that Zayn drive me."
There was something in her voice that told me not to argue.
"Okay, okay," I said, reaching over and belting the blelt. "Better?"
"Yeah."
I backed out of the driveway and turned left to get to her flat. "So," I asked Karly, "Have you always been this paranoid over car saftey?"
She flinched. "I guess so," she said.
"I'm always learning new things about you," I sat. "You have a sezuire issue that you should probably get checked out, and a fear of cars. Alrighty."
"I'm not afraid of cars, and I don't have sezuires," she said.
I laughed lightly to myself. "Whatever you say."
She crossed her arms across her chest like a little kid.
"So, Karly," I said, "How about I learn some more things about you? What's your favorite color?"
She looked at me and raised one eyebrow. "That would be none of your buisness."
"Oh, c'mon," I whined. "We're in a car together, I'm driving you home, I met you at a coffee cafe, why can't I know your favorite color?"
She sighed, "Black."
I blinked. "Black?"
"Yes, Black."
Okay. Little strange.
"Why do you like black so much?"
"It's dark, and I like the dark."
"Well don't tell the light that, he'll get offended."
"I don't care if the light gets offended."
"Well you should. Cause if he gets mad enough maybe he'll go on some insane riot and kill all your blackness."
"The dark would win against the light any day."
"Aaaaahhhh, but there you're wrong. You said any day, and that would mean that it was light outside, because in the daytime the suns out, so the light would be in it's natural territory, therefore it would win."
"Not if the dark surprises it."
"That's not gonna happen."
"And why not?"
"I'll be sure to let the dark know that the lights coming, that's why."
"You can't speak with inanimate objects."
"Yes you can. Havn't you seen Toy Story?"
"That's besides the point."
"Then what is the point?"
She sighed and threw her hands up, laughing lightly. "I'm done with this conversation."
"Oh, but it was just getting good."
She raised another eyebrow. "And you need to stop and get gas," she said, pointing at my car.
"Dammit," I cursed. realizing it was nearly on E.
"There's a gas station right there," she said.
"I see that, but thank you," I answered, pulling into the station. "You wanna get out in the cold, or shall I?"
Note: So what did you think of that??? Should the next chapter, the rest of the car ride, be Liam's POV or Karly's??
