At Dead Man's Mouth, Steven, Ezra, and the Gems were standing at the top of a cliff, overlooking a moss-covered swamp. Steven was hopping on the rocks in the swamp.

"This doesn't look good at all." Pearl said.

"Whoa! Cool!" Steven said as he was on a rock, reaching to touch the moss.

"No, Steven, wait!" Amethyst warned.

"No, Steven! Don't go near that stuff!" Pearl added.

The moss started crawling toward Steven. Garnet threw a nearby boulder at the rock Steven was standing on, that catapult him into Pearl's arms.

"WHOA!!!" Steven screamed before he landed on Pearl. "Steven's here!"

"You have to be careful, Steven!" Pearl said as she put Steven down.

"Why?" Steven asked.

A duck was attempting to sit on a floating log in the swamp, when the moss engulfed the log.

"Oh, yuck." Ezra said in disgust.

"What is that stuff?" Steven asked.

"It's the moss that Rose Quartz raised on the hill." Garnet replied.

"My mom planted this stuff?" Steven asked.

"Sorry I said yuck." Ezra apologized.

"Rose Quartz used to climb that hill every spring and tend to the moss at the top." Pearl explained as she projected a hologram of Rose at the top of a hill. "But now that Rose is... gone, the moss is on the move!"

"It's lost." Steven said, saddened.

"It's not lost." Amethyst said. "It's gross."

"Yes, but Rose loved it anyway. She saw the beauty in everything, no matter how gross." Pearl said before she flicked her hair. "Fortunately, I know just what to do in this situation."

The Crystal Gems got off the cliff and onto ground level. Garnet, Amethyst, Ezra, and Steven sit down on the ground, as they watched what Pearl was going to do. She then stroke a pose.

"Twooooh!" Pearl said as she danced briefly. "Haaaaaah!"

Her gem started to glow.

"This is why I get up in the morning!" Steven whispered to Ezra and Amethyst.

A small glowing object appeared out of Pearl's gem and into Steven's hands, that revealed a roll of yellow tape reading 'POLICE LINE'.

"Is this...police tape?" Steven asked.

"Isn't this great?" Pearl asked. "This way, we don't even have to use magic. Humans will just see this and walk away."

Garnet, who was perched on a rock, slammed her fist into her palm like a baseball mitt.

"Don't hold back." Garnet said.

"I never... do!" Amethyst replied before she threw the roll of tape to Garnet.

The Crystal Gems started wrapping the entrance to the swamp in police tape.

"La la-la la-la." Pearl sang as she tied the police tape into a bow shape. "Perfect!"

The Crystal Gems gathered to inspect the handiwork.

"Now we can come up with a plan to move the moss back to its hill!" Pearl said.

"Who wants to get some lunch?" Steven asked, that made the Gems turn and stare at him silently. But Ezra held up his hand in agreement. "Just us, then? ...Nice."
