At the Gem Battlefield, Steven and Ezra walked through the Gem battlefield, that was covered in strawberry bushes, with the Gems and Lion.

"This place is even bigger and more weapon-y than I remember." Steven said.

"This was a site of a historic battle." Pearl explained. "Every weapon here was left by a Gem over 5,000 years ago. I don't like to disturb it, but Garnet said we can't just leave these lying around."

Garnet picked up a giant battle-axe and hoisted it over her shoulder.

"Never know when you might need one of these." Garnet said.

"I need one of those all the time!" Steven smiled.

"Why don't you look for one that's more... you?" Pearl suggested.

"Okay! Lion, come help me look." Steven called out.

Lion stared at a butterfly and walked away after it.

"Aw, come on." Steven complained.

"You really need to train that thing better." Pearl said.

"Yeah, buddy." Ezra agreed. "Having a pet is a big responsibility, especially if it's a pink lion."

"Oh, we've been making progress, now he looks at me when I say his name!" Steven said.

Steven began to repeatedly call Lion's name, but Lion ignored him and dug in the ground.

"Uh, sometimes..." Steven remarked.

Lion's digging revealed a pink object in the dirt.

"I think he found something." Ezra said.

Lion lifted the object up in his mouth, that revealed to be a scabbard.

"That's the scabbard for Rose's sword!" Pearl gasped before she tried to snatch it from Lion's mouth. "Gimme! Gimme!" She took hold of the scabbard and waved her hand at Lion. "Shoo, shoo."

Lion grunted at Pearl, unamused.

"Mom fought here?" Steven asked.

"That's right!" Pearl replied. "And I fought alongside her."

"Man, I wish I could've seen it!" Amethyst said.

"No, you don't." Garnet denied. "Countless Gems were broken here. It was a maelstrom of destruction and death."

"But we won!" Pearl jumped in. "Your mother led us to glorious victory! The odds were against us, and our hearts were uncertain. But we chose to fight alongside Rose, and here we made our stand against our Homeworld!"

At the Beach House, the Crystal Gems warped back home, with the weapons they have gathered from the battlefield.

"This is great!" Amethyst smiled. "My room's been needing another pile."

"Amethyst! Help me with this axe." Garnet said.

Amethyst and Garnet tried to fit the battle-axe through the Temple Gate, as they talked and made a commotion in the background.

"It's been ages..." Pearl muttered as she looked at the scabbard and blushed.

"Turn it clockwise!" Amethyst said to Garnet. "No, your other clockwise!"

Steven and Ezra stared at Pearl.

"W-What is it, boys?" Pearl asked.

"Well, you seem to know about Rose more than any of us." Ezra replied. "We kinda want to hear the story from you."
