Ezra In Beach City (Book 1)

Beach Party

At the open beach, Steven, Ezra, and the Crystal Gems were seen under attack on the beach, as Steven and Amethyst were screaming and thrown across the sand, while Garnet, Pearl, and Ezra landed steadily on their feet.

"You okay, buddy?" Ezra asked Steven.

"I've seen better days." Steven replied as he was lying on his stomach on a boogie board.

"What about you, Ezra?" Pearl asked the teal mage ninja.

"I'm good to keep fighting." Ezra replied as he summoned his shield.

"Pearl, I got a boo-boo." Amethyst said.

"Oh, walk it off!" Pearl shouted.

"Here it comes!" Garnet warned.

A pufferfish monster rose above ground and blew strong wind at the Crystal Gems.

"You all distract it!" Garnet ordered before she leaped off.

"Let's show this thing what we're made of, guys!" Pearl said.

"What do you think we've been doing for the past hour?" Amethyst asked sarcastically.

"Let's just stop this thing and go home." Ezra complained.

Pearl hurled her spear at the pufferfish monster, but the pufferfish blew it back to them.

"Duck!" Pearl warned as the team members ducked under the deflected spear.

"Man, I don't see any duc—" Amethyst said before she noticed the spear and ducked at the last second, as the spear chopped some of her head. "Quack!"

"Steven's turn!" Steven said before he threw the boogie board and it got stuck to the one of the pufferfish monster's spikes. "Yup, it's got spikes."

"It's okay." Amethyst said as she rested her arm on Steven's shoulder. "Here comes Garnet!"

Garnet began diving sky-high toward the pufferfish monster.

"Smash that puff!" Steven yelled.

The pufferfish monster noticed Garnet and started blowing at her. Garnet tried to force her way through, but the wind was too strong. She was then blown away and sent flying and screaming toward Beach City, as she smashed into the Fish Stew Pizza restaurant.

"She hit the pizza place!" Ezra alerted.

"Aw, man, we blew it!" Steven said.

"Ugh, whatever!" Amethyst added, before she charged up to the pufferfish monster.

"Amethyst, wait!" Ezra cried out.

Just the monster began to blow at her, Amethyst shapeshifted into a baseball bat and whacked the monster, that sent it flying far into the ocean. She then shapeshifted back to normal shortly.

"Well, that was unexpected." Ezra said, feeling utterly surprised.

"Amethyst!" Pearl called out. "Smacking it really far away doesn't solve anything! We needed to destroy it. Now it's just gonna come back later."

"Yeah, so we'll deal with it later." Amethyst replied.

"Ugh!" Pearl groaned.

"Let's get Garnet." Steven said. "She landed by the boardwalk."

The group started walking to the boardwalk.

At Fish Stew Pizza, Garnet was lying calmly and still on the wrecked sign of Fish Stew Pizza while Kiki and Kofi Pizza looked up at her.
