Ezra In Beach City (Book 1)

Garnet's Universe

At the Beach House, Garnet arrived alone at the Warp Pad of the Crystal Temple as she carried a bubbled gem.

"Steven?" Garnet asked.

Garnet looked around the Beach House but noticed no one's home. As she turned and headed to the Temple, she could hear Steven giggling. Garnet smiled, as she turned back around, and started looking for Steven again. Meanwhile, Steven was hiding on a rafter beam above the Warp Pad, as he snuck up on Garnet excitedly.

"Steven. I know you're here." Garnet called out, while Steven kept giggling in anticipation. "Come on out. You know I can sense you."

"Steven-bomb!" Steven said as he pounced and landed on Garnet's hair. "I got you!"

"You got me." Garnet admitted.

"And now you're blind!" Steven said as he covered Garnet's visor.

"Tiny hands." Garnet smiled before she picked Steven up and lifted him in front of her. "My only weakness."

Ezra walked in and noticed a bubbled gem was floating.

"I got it." Ezra said as he grabbed the bubbled gem.

"Thanks." Garnet said.

"Whoa!" Steven said as he noticed the bubbled gem. "What did you do today?"

"Tell me what you think I did." Garnet said.

Steven's eyes lit up and he made a big smile. He then began to tell his own made-up tale of Garnet's adventure.

In the middle of a forest, Garnet arrived on a Warp Pad. She began to walk through the forest, as a mysterious figure stalked her in the trees. A bomb then suddenly appeared in front of Garnet and exploded, which she quickly dodged by leaping onto a tree. More exploding bombs appeared and Garnet easily dodged them, when the mysterious figure appeared before her.

"You!" Garnet said. "Reveal yourself!"

The figure threw a bomb at Garnet and she caught it with one of her gauntlets. It exploded in her hand with no impact at all. Garnet then walked up to the figure, picked her up and disrobed her, that revealed a humanoid frog. She was a Persian-green frog that wore a black cape with a hood, yellow mittens, and a pair of pale pink boots. She also carried a katana sword.

"Hopper the morning to you, Garnet." The frog joked. "Nothing like some morning training to get the blood pumping. Am I right?"

"Hopper. Nice to see you too." Garnet said as she released Hopper.

"By the way, have you seen Hoppy?" Hopper asked. "She was hoppin' excited to train with us."

Suddenly, another figure, a humanoid rabbit, leapt out above Garnet and dove, as she yelled out loud, toward her with a katana. Garnet summoned her other gauntlet and caught the katana just above her head in between her hands, that caused a gust of wind around her.

The humanoid rabbit was a light gray rabbit who wore a faded pale periwinkle kimono with a light green trim, a dark indigo belt, and faded blue samurai pants. She carried a katana with purple and red handle and a dark indigo blade on her left hip and had a scar on her right eye, which she was consequently unable to open. She also had dark indigo wristbands on each wrist.

"Garnet." The humanoid rabbit greeted.

"Hoppy." Garnet greeted back.

"Wow Garnet, I can tell you've been training." Hopper said as she observed the screen of a tablet. "Your power levels are hoppin' high!"
