"Run," my voice soothes, with a smirk curling on my face. I feel bad for finding this situation funny. The girl's instinct to panic puts me in a fit of laughter.

The flaw never panic. Once your heart rate rises into a sense of panic, your mind takes control and stresses. But this is a simulation.

The simulation's controlled by my every thought, though. Her actions are the only cause that makes the simulation take the form of a dream. Whatever action she decides upon will affect the overall outcome of the simulation. It's complicated but very fascinating!

A blade. A blade to decide the fate of this girl's reality. If she chooses death, then it's death she shall receive. But if the girl chooses life, then it's a life of success she shall receive.

"You know this is only a vision, right?" I question in a faint whisper, even though I know the obvious answer. She has no clue at all. I approach her right side and find a spot in the grass beside her, "right..?"

She lets out a shaky breath and fiddles with the blade in the palm of her hands. She's questioning.

I had just informed her about this being a vision, yet she still holds onto the blade. I release a small chuckle, "Death will only bring you down to the deepest crevices of our earth's surface; a place that drowns in eternal darkness." I let out a breath looking at the girl. I have got her attention at the mention of eternal darkness. "But when there's dark, there's a side of light. You choose the other path and you will live a life of success. Success unachievable to the natural human."

"But when there's light, there's always that small shadow. A shadow of betrayal."

She looks back down at the knife. "Betrayal," she mumbles, her hands shaking.

"With light comes darkness you see, the sun rises and falls upon this reckless land. The loss of the sun starts a new form of life. The monsters rise from the dark and roam the lands, killing whatever comes in their way. Brutal, ruthless, but beautiful," I smile looking at the illusion of sunset ahead of us. "It's just the flow of nature."

She holds the sharpened blade in the tips of her fingers. Her pointer finger drags itself along the blade of the knife, creating a slight cut. No flinch, no hesitation.

Smart girl.

She throws the blade as far as her arm could throw it. Gone; out of sight, out of reach.

The blade is gone.

--(Y/N) POV --- -- - > (CURRENT DAY)

The green man wakes me from my slumber. I remember after my encounter with Darryl, I fell back asleep. He gave me a few pain relief pills to help calm the swelling and pain in my leg. There were stitches on the cut now. With the stitches, I could not make any large movements.

I knew it was Dream because of the eerie mask. The masquerade was over, yet he still had that mask. I roll over all the way so I could look him in the dark, circular eyes of the mask. "Dream is it?"

He pulls out a chair to sit in front of me, "Yes, and might I say it is an honor to be in your presence once more."

Once more? We just danced yesterday, no need to be creepy with the language.
