TW- BLOOD/PROFANITY/HARSH BEHAVIOR

WC- 1765

--DREAM POV --- -- - > (BACKSTORY)

Icy wind seethes itself through my messy, dirty blonde hair as I run through the open valley. The morning air is refreshing. The breeze blocks out my thoughts of my father's insults to the surrounding kingdoms. War this, war that, the man could never find a break from starting a new war. I am educated to fear any human being that is not a member of our kingdom. Though many, we should never fear as a threat. They are fighting for the right thing, I'm just on the wrong side of history.

A kingdom with no peace. A kingdom that thrives on war. A kingdom that thrives upon the deaths of innocent people.

But I shouldn't worry, right? I'm too young to fear for my people. Though, I will take place as King soon enough. I'd be lying if I didn't wish upon my father's death.

He used to be one for the people, but ever since my mother's passing, he's become reckless.

"No mercy," they say.

"We would rather die," they respond.

War. War has its beauty, but with beauty takes work. You rush it, and it turns into a messed-up disaster. Without the control of this 'disaster', the beauty enters its worst state. But, with a helping hand, it can cause a glorious friendship.

Without war, there would be no sign of friendship.

War bonds our people. The sacrifice equalizes our people, bringing out the best of ourselves. It's beautiful to view.

But when the wrong person owns that immense power, the beauty cannot see through.

Greed is a strong possession in war. The natural human being will gain this sinful thought, but when one can't tame it, all goes to hell.

With the passing of my mother eight years ago, my father went through a major depression. He had locked himself from any human contact for a month before exiting and declaring war once more. He craved vengeance. Only greed ran through his mind from that point on.

He gave up on love. What was the point of it, anyway? His wife had just died after all.

That's where he came wrong. Her brightening soul was still expressive over our lands. It gave us hope. A sense of hope we all craved. But while the years passed, the hope began dying. The dying hope caused a shadow on our kingdom. A shadow that could ruin us all if we didn't find our light source.

Until I saw her.

A name that once held no value, to a name that could shine the light on our deepening shadows.

A young girl fighting for her life as a small village girl. A girl with a painful history. She was the spark of our revolution.

"Techno, you are the one housing miss (Y/N) (L/N), correct?" The pristine guard questioned while nodding down to his open scroll.

The pink-haired male glares at the guard, "Yes, now if you will find yourself to the exit; she is fast asleep right now."

"From direct orders from our emperor, she's wanted dead on the spot," the guard snarls at Techno. "If you don't want your name added to the list, I suggest you move away."

The girl lies in the backroom on the small wooden cot. I'd feel guilty for waking her from her much-needed slumber. She was in pain, unable to move.
