TW- PROFANITY/DEATH/BLOOD
WC- 1959
--(Y/N) POV ---
The walk was brutal. Heatwaves seen from only meters ahead of us, dehydrating plants, corpses of dried out animals, it was purely awful. I guess I wouldn't expect more from a desert. Though it was only the start of the spring, doesn't mean the deserts are coated in a chilled layer of snow. I had never seen or come past this desert before, though. I don't see why I would want to either.
I look at the rest of us, all geared up in our glistening armor. They all stand tall, their postures perfect. Tommy might as-well be the only acceptance. Even when he was a kid, his posture had never been the best. Guess it stuck with him. I give him a small smile, to which he returns with a judging furrow.
Dream and I lead the people to the Yarin Empire. I knew the surrounding area best, but he knew the direction. He states that he had grown native to these lands, so he knows the general path. I trust his word, for he was the one who had given us these stacked supplies.
Meanwhile, Sapnap is groaning and pushing George around. His patience seems to have gotten the best of him, even though we have only been walking for about an hour at this point. We all have grown used to their playful annoyances, so we let it all pass and let out a small chuckle from time to time.
Though we were all panting for a frigid breath, we all tried to make the best of it. They never made it feel as if we were walking straight into a death trap. Instead, we were walking into what could be our proud victory.
Biome to biome, we had finally come across an area I can recognize most. The field. The field that declared my entire fate, or the field that would relieve the stresses of the world from the palm of my hand. My expression remained neutral. Deep down, the location left a hole in my heart. It almost hurt to see it again. It might have been the only place of comfort for me, but it is only a place of dread now, only for me though. No one else will ever know the hours I spent daydreaming my deepest fantasies or grieving over the dead. The tears of grief that lay in the soft soil below our feet now torcher me inside-out. I would drag the dozens of deaths I had encountered along these meadows.
But it's time I resolve that fear and kill it off for my sanity.
"If you keep moving west then up north for about a quarter-mile, you should find ourselves at the front gates," I announce. "For Dream, Sapnap, and I, we will be headed in a different direction which will lead us to the back of the castle. From there, we will signal you to progress with the plan."
They all nod at the set plan. According to Dream, he had already planted the TNT in the ground and walls. It just needed to be activated by the groups of people tending them. While the explosives went off, our trio will rid the halls of the castle, and take down the monarch once and for all. I almost felt excited.
We all are on our own trail once dream gave out a small map, detailing the ways of the mechanics on the TNT. Prideful smiles are shared amongst us which gives me a sense of hope.
The glistened smiles slowly progress to hopeful strides as we all split off to our assigned locations. We had a long walk ahead of us, but to speed things up, we were limited to two ender pearls. We needed to save as much as we could, though we had sixteen each. With the pearls, the walk was only about an hour long. Much better than the expected two hours we had on our hands.
We looked up at the walls protecting the satanic walls of the Yarin castle with a stare of determination. "They should be at their assigned areas," Dream said while tossing a rope up the walls. It was a three-story wall that protected the walls of the castle that is ten meters away from the wall. "Once we climb over this wall, I'll set off the TNT."
