George's POV
It wasn't long til George woke up from his sleep, hearing the fire alarm throughout the entire house. What the hell did he do now? Rubbing his eyes awake and getting up from the comfortable bed, he makes his way into the kitchen."What the hell did you do now Dream?"
George seriously didn't feel like waking up this early in the morning, barely even making it to sleep the night before.
"Oh god, my bad George. I didn't mean to wake you. I, um. Funny story actually." Dream had his hand on the back of his head as he made his statements with pure embarrassment plastered on his face. He really wasn't made to be in the kitchen, especially not alone.
George couldn't help but smile at him, who couldn't resist the joy someone like him could bring. "Continue."
"Well, I wanted to y'know. Make you breakfast before you woke up and before I had to leave. And my god, eggs are such a pain in the ass to make."
Letting out a burst of laughter, George fell to the floor. "You surly have to be kidding. You spend your whole ass time working with different computers and technology, but you can't make eggs?"
"Well saying it aloud makes it sound worse." Dream stated, laughing the entire time as well. "But hey, I made you some toast."
"Why thank you." George said, rolling his eyes as he grabbed the plate from his hand.
Dream had put on a small smirk as he slowly nodded his head from side to side, circling his hand in a motion before bowing like the smartass he is. "Why, you're welcome."
End of Flashback
—George layed on his bed while being confined by his covers, he stared at the gray wall like a hawk as if it were going to leave his sight. Not taking his eyes away from it more less blinking like a normal person.
He missed those moments with Dream, those happier moments atleast.
How a simple thing one can entrust another for and they disobey it as if it were nothing, as if it meant not a thing.
It's been a year since they've talked to each other, of course George was the only one reaching out in the beginning before he made the decision to stop. Never once did Dream message or call him first, never once did any of there friends try to help them. All of them figured it was for the best they don't intrude.
They both shared the same friends, same ones since high school and the same ones they met in college. All knew that whatever went on between the two would most likely never get fixed so none of them ever brought it up more less invite both to the same place.
Even if they did by accident or they saw one another within viewing distance, neither spoke nor waved, and one of the two would just end up leaving if it were a party that they were invited too. Though it was always George who always gave in.
It was for the best.
Atleast that's what George keeps telling himself.
That it is for the best.
That it will get better.
But a year had gone by and you'd think the pain would've gone away by now yet it lingers within him. Thoughts roam his head and it always leaves his heart in ache.
