Flames // Newt x Reader \\

I'll stay.

Newt's hut was surprisingly comfy. And warm considering the thin walls.
"It's not much but it's mine." Newt said
"It's pretty nice, all things considered." I told him
"I'll go and get you your night clothes from your box, make yourself comfy!"
I watched him walk out of the hut. I had a look around, there was a private bathroom, a chair, a bedside table, and a bed (of course).

5 minutes later newt came back with a box labelled 'greenies things'
"There are some stuff in there that... I wasn't sure you would like me to see..." he put the box down next to me and I opened it, there were two bags, one labelled 'clothes' -there were a lot of clothes- and another smaller bag labelled 'girl things' I tried to remember what that could mean then it clicked.

My period.

"You son of a bitch!" I grumbled
"What's wrong love?"
"Wicked took away my memories but not my period!?"
"What's... never mind." Newt said shaking his head. "Whatever it is, you can have a look and I can turn my back if you'd want."

"No it's fine, I'll go and change in the bathroom, then check out the other thing tomorrow." I walked into the bathroom opened the bag labelled 'clothes' to find two other bags. One had a sticker on it that said 'day' another said 'night' I opened the night one to find a pair of small plain light pink shorts, and a loose baby blue sports bra. "Shuck." I changed then went back into the bedroom to find Newt waiting by a chair.

He looked up at me, staring at me for a second then shook his head as if to tell himself to stop it.  "There should be bedding in the box for you by the way," I nodded at him then rummaged through the box again, found the bedding and wrapped myself up in it.
I laid down on his bed and murmured "goodnight Newt"
"Have a good nights sleep greenie, you're trying out jobs tomorrow." He got up to leave.

"Hey Newt?"

"Yes love?"

"Can you... um... can you stay here tonight? You don't have to, I know it must be a little bit weird because I'm a girl and all but-"

"It's okay greenie. I'll stay."

*Your nightmare*

"Alby! Take care of them!" I shouted
"What's going to happen to them (Y/N)?" A little boy asked me. Guess my names (Y/N) huh. Cool.
"I don't know Chuckie." I was trying not to cry, but tears were forming as Chuck held onto my t-shirt.
"(Y/N)... I'll fall in love with you again, you do know that right?" Newt was by my side. I nodded silently as a few tears came down my cheeks. He pulled me towards him and kissed me. He then pressed our foreheads together for as long as possible before the guards ripped him from me, two of them had to hold me back otherwise I would have run after Newt and the others.
"(Y/N)! I love you!" Was the last thing I heard Newt say to me.
"Newt! Newt! Don't leave!" I cried.
"(Y/N)... what if they take you to?" Chuck asked me, now petrified he would lose his mother figure as well as his father figure, (Newt) whom had already been taken up into the maze.
"They won't Chuckie, I promise." Not yet at least. I kept that thought to myself as I grabbed his hand and took him to the cafeteria for our lunch.

*End of nightmare*

I woke up to Newts face hovering above mine, his hands on my shoulders shaking me awake.
"Greenie! Greenie!" He stopped calling my name after my eyes focused on his. "Are you ok?"
"Yes Newt I'm fine. It was just a nightmare. I'm sorry I woke you up," I apologised to him still drowsy.
"You were calling out my name, and a boy called Chuck, then you told Alby to look after us all. What was your dream about?" He asked me, yet again, concerned.

"I don't really want to talk about it." I explained.
"Ok. Do you want me to... stay with you again?" He asked a bit nervous. "I'd say it's nearly two in the morning from the light, and position of the moon, I can't see my watch. You have enough time to go back to sleep for a bit."

I nodded and he got into the bed with me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders so I could rest my head on his chest. He rested his cheek on my head.
"I'll tell you about my dream tomorrow Newt." I told him, in response I felt a nod on my head from him.
I fell asleep again with Newt comforting me. This time, it was a sleep without nightmares.

Alby's P.O.V

I came to get the greenie and Newt because they should be at the breakfast benches by now, they both slept in! I wonder what's keeping them.  I knocked on Newts hut door and just walked in, I saw them cuddling in Newts bed so,
"Hm-hm." I startled them both by doing this.
"Oh my shucking god! Alby! Why'd you do that!?" The Y/H/C girl half shouted at me. Obviously still tired.
"What time is it?" Newt asked before looking at his watch. "Oh my gosh! Greenie! We slept in!"
I left as the Greenie basically kicked me out.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

"Ok Alby we'll be there in ten!" I told him. I turned to Newt and said "I'll get changed in the bathroom you get changed in here ok?" Newt nodded at me.  I grabbed my box saying "yoink!" As I did so, went into the bathroom to get changed. I opened the box
"Shuck..." I said under my breath as I noticed that all the clothes were literally crop-tops and shorts. One pair of joggers!? ONE!? COME ON!  I decided to choose the black joggers and a white crop-top.
"Hey Newt, can I borrow a hoodie?"
"Sure love!" The butterflies are back... "Come and get it when you're ready!" I got my shoes on (black lace up boots) and went out to get Newts hoodie.

As I walked out I saw Newt waiting for me with his cream hoodie in his hands ready to give it to me. His jaw dropped ever so slightly when he saw me, then shook his head as if to say 'stop it Newt.' I took it out of his hands and slipped it over my head. This is huge! Newt giggled ever so slightly after I'd put it on.
"Hey! What're you giggling about shank?!"
"Nothing!" He replied. I grabbed his wrist and dragged him outside.

"By the way, the names (Y/N)."
